Nice - Edit
Got the big ol’ Brekky. The tofu scramble was nice, the rest was a bit hit and miss. The coconut bacon is actually just coconut flakes so I’m not sure why they refer to it as bacon. They also had gluten free food with the wrong label so be careful if you are coeliac. And the man before us who ordered the same as me, received a portion that was about twice the size of mine so that was a bit disappointing, would’ve been nice to have more tofu and beans.

Cons: No coconut bacon , Poor labelling of allergies , Inconsistent portion sizes

Mostly Vegan but Serves Dairy - Edit
A diverse menu with some fan favourites, and some more unique options. I got the pancakes and they were really good, and reasonably priced.
Read moreThere is signage advertising this cafe as a vegan cafe, however they serve cow's milk for drinks. I was disappointed that dairy was the default and there is a surcharge for plant milks.
The venue is accessible and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
Pros: Wheelchair and pram accessible
Cons: Serves dairy milk

Great Little Bakery - Edit
My husband was in charge of finding somewhere for breakfast and he chose Sweet Bones Bakery because use he thought it would have some vegan friendly options for me. I was absolutely delighted to see the menu and the food sis not disappoint. I loved every bite and the cafe is super cute. I cannot wait to go back to Canberra so I can have a pit stop there.

Yum! - Edit
Delicious options at Sweet Bones bakery. Happy Cow says it's vegetarian, but the sign on the front of the cafe says vegan. Anyway, I had the big breakky and my husband had the pancakes, and we both had a soy latte each. Everything was demolished. So good and highly recommend. Bonus cute little swan decal on the coffees.

Why milk? - Edit
I’m glad that Happy Cow has this properly listed as a vegetarian and not vegan establishment. The business promotes itself as “vegan” on its own signage and there was a sticker on their register that read, hypocritically, “post milk generation.” I say hypocritically since they strangely offer cow’s milk “just for coffee” as their employee told me. That makes no sense whatsoever for a business that is otherwise all vegan. The food was very good and the the baked goods were also great. I just wish they would lose the gross milk or change their own messaging to use “plant-based” and not vegan.

Great Food, Excellent Cupcakes!! - Edit
I love dining at this place. Parking isn't easy to find but it is well worth the wait. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is fantastic. I seem to be completely incapable of leaving the store without at least three cupcakes! They've even made tempeh taste delicious (try the TLT)! I wish they'd run a cooking class for the cupcakes, I could eat them all day!

Not worth the hype - Edit
The food was okay but not worth the hype all around. The deserts and the drinks were particularly bad. We ordered the below:

Cold nachos? - Edit
I know we vegans don’t have much in the way of cheese to melt but cold nachos? These had all the making of a very yum dish (disclaimer: the coconut taste is pretty pronounced) but they were cold! Would still recommend but be warned

Dream place for vegan morning tea in Canberra - Edit
Default for many in the vegan community of Canberra for good reason! So successful they've opened a second cafe. Shame they still serve dairy as the default for coffee especially as the alternative milks are way more popular!!
