Very disappointed:( Baked goods seem very hit or miss. - Edit
Went to sweet pea and got a chocolate chip cookie, blueberry coffee cake, and a tofu scramble croissant. The cookie was really good, and had a nice texture. But the blueberry coffee cake was very tough almost like a dry sponge? And not moist…almost seemed like it had been overcooked or left out too long. (I went in the morning though) The tofu scramble croissant was bad as well, not very flaky like a croissant should be, and the middle was very raw, like play dough. So raw that I just ate the tofu scramble inside and only the first layer of the outside, I had to discard the rest since it was just way too undercooked. Overall disappointed because there was so much hype around it.

Obsessed - Edit
I’m obsessed with their almond pastry and the Charlie Brown bar(also available at New Seasons 😁). So far, we have had the Grilled Cheese, Reuben and Untuna (grilled with cashew cheese 😋) Sandwiches and I would order all of them again. Probably one of the best Untuna and Reuben sandwiches I have had. Definitely a must stop while in Portland.

Come for the baked goods, stay for the sandwiches - Edit
Wow! I had the P. Cole sandwich for lunch this morning and haven’t stopped thinking about it. So much flavor stuffed between two slices of perfect ciabatta!

LOVE! - Edit
This is one of my favorite places in PDX! I came here for the first time 12 years ago and I made it a regular visit every time I was in town back in the day. Since I moved here a couple years ago it is my favorite go to. The sandwiches are amazing and I can’t pass up on grabbing those bomb wheat free chocolate chip cookies! Thank you for continuing to be amazing folks, serving up the yummy food and love!

Go early if you want a full selection! - Edit
I live within walking distance to Sweetpea, and it's dangerous. I have really enjoyed trying a variety of their baked goods- my favorites so far are the "ring" pastries and croissants. It's one of those places where I do a double take to make sure it's all vegan!
Read moreI've gone for weekend breakfast twice, and it's a nice selection. The waffles? WOW!

Please mail me an almond croissant - Edit
Almond croissants are my absolute favorite baked good and this one was hands down the best. Big, fluffy, fresh, sweet (but not too sweet), lightly dusted with powdered sugar… I’m literally salivating reminiscing about it. Run, don’t walk to Sweetpea. You’ll be very glad you did.

Options - Edit
We stopped in to try it as one of the vegan bakery options. Honestly, not memorable. I could barely remember what the inside looked like. I ordered a sweet chai latte and the strawberry cheesecake… the latte was a no go but the cheesecake was good. We stopped in the afternoon so we had virtually no other pastry to choose from.

Excellent - Edit
Loved this place so much that I went three times in two weeks with various groups of veg/omni people. The scone was the best I’ve ever had and the chocolate chip cookie was the best my omni daughter has ever had. I would also recommend the the danish and cappuccino. They have breakfast/lunch options that look amazing as well… I’ll be back for one of those!

Loved this place! Got a portlander breakfast (tofu scramble, tempeh bacon, waffle with syrup). Well worth the price. Huge portions, good vibes. Pastries looked amazing! They also sell boxes of day-old pastries for cheap.

So much to try - Edit
Croissants, pan au chocolate, danishes, and all the wonderful baked things sold out before you can even make it to the counter. Savory breakfast scrambles, satisfying lunch sandwiches, always good coffee. I’ve eaten some wonderful things, and some pretty good things, occasionally something strange. Don’t let that deter you, it’s just my opinion. Overall, I recommend checking out Sweetpea, you’ll probably enjoy it!

We came for coffee and D decided to try a pastry. He said the pain au chocolat was too heavy and dense. He said he would come back and try something else. I’d be interested in trying something savory from the menu. The coffee was good!

Vegan Pit Spot in PDX - Edit
Haven’t been for quite some time, happy to find it thriving. It’s a welcoming coffee shop offering food options, all vegan of course.
Read moreThe hot tea was delicious and so was the pain au chocolat, however this girl isn’t huge on chocolate. I liked the powdered sugar on top, the rest was too much chocolate for me.
Would recommend to others in the area - vegan mini mall is a must! Pastries are generous and vibe is unpretentious. They were playing raver beats at 10AM.
FYI, bathroom is very punk/grunge.
Pros: All Vegan/Plant-Based Establishment, Located Near Other Vegan Shops, Friendly Service and Open Area
Cons: Very Industrial Vibe

Legendary! - Edit
First of all, the Breakfast Sammie was the best vegan breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had, hands down, and I’ve eaten many. It’s huge and everything about it is perfect: the scrambled tofu is super flavorful & saucy, the roll was fresh, the tempeh bacon is amazing & they do not skimp. There were slices of tempeh that covered the whole thing. So nice we ordered it twice on our short trip to Portland.
Read moreWe also had multiple pastries. Sweetpea has vegan danishes, which are pretty rare to find, as well as scones, croissants and muffins. Everything we had was fantastic. Believe the hype!

Just wow - Edit
This place was incredible! I am not a breakfast person and this was still one of the best places I’ve ever tried. I tried the Breakfast Sammie, Turtle Power sandwich, Caesar salad, Raspberry Croissant, Cinnamon Roll and the Chai latte. The Croissant was a bit much for me, but my partner liked it. The chai tasted a little like water, but was still okay. Otherwise, everything was incredible. The vibe is cute and queer friendly. 🌈

Great pastries and coffee - Edit
We had a matcha macadamia ring, a croissant stuffed with scallion bacon cream cheese, and soy lattes. The matcha ring was the highlight, and the lattes were very good. The croissant was good too, although it was more of the soft kind rather than crispy/flaky (maybe because it had cream cheese inside). The shop inside was cute, and they allowed our dog inside in his stroller.

Good food, friendly service - Edit
Not quite as many pastry options as I'd hoped for from the name, but still a dozen or so, along with coffee and some savory dishes. I had an ube cheesecake muffin that was tasty but very dense - definitely needed the whipped cream on top to lighten it.

Good but maybe overrated - Edit
Came here after hearing many raving reviews about the tofu scramble.
Read moreIt was good but tbh I didn’t think it was that good. Perhaps I have a different idea of what makes a good tofu scramble- this one tasted a bit more like a dry scrambled omelette with a kind of smokey and gritty flavour, it was interesting but I prefer ones that are silkier.
Also had the pastrami/sauerkraut toastie which was really good.
Baked treats in the cabinet looked amazing too, wish I tried some!
Pros: All vegan , Gf options
Cons: Served salad dressing in little disposable cups
