Delicious Ragout!

This place is one of the most famous in Napoli. So you should either make a reservation (at best right there at the restaurant, they are very busy and therefor often not reachable over phone). They serve an amazing vegan ragout which I had three times over the last couple of years and I still love it. It is the vegan version of a tradtional dish with seitan and vegetables in a tasty tomato sauce. The portions are bigger compared to the usual primi and very fullfilling. The staff is very friendly, too. I think it is the place to go if you visit Napoli.

Very good!

Waited about 20-30 minutes around 7:30pm on a Sunday night. The staff seated people before us until another couple told the staff we were before everyone. Food comes really quick and is delicious! Very had ragu before but it was awesome.

Pros: Great range of vegan pasta, Great if going with omni’s

Cons: The staff were quite slow , Ragu needed more seitan

Not bad but not great either

It was not bad but nothing exceptional… the pasta were borderline al dente!

Good, but not very special

I tried the friarielli (a typical vegetable from the region) and the Pasta al Ragù vegano. The friarielli was very special, it’s flavor mix of kale and spinach with a little taste of mustard. Not the best dish I’ve ever had, but since it’s local I find it recommended enough. The pasta was well flavoured, but not that special I was hoping for.

Pros: Local dishes , A lot of vegan options

Cons: Not very exclusive

Best pasta in my life

I'm not kidding, this was the best vegan pasta I've had in my life. I come from an Italian family background so I know a good pasta when I taste it. Would give 5 stars if I could. Absolute must try!

Pros: Great vegan options, Delicious

Marked vegan options

There are many marked vegan options.
I tried the pasta ragu but it wasn't very tasty. The sauce was quite sour with just a few pieces of seitan. Maybe try another dish. The staff was welcoming and kind.

Underhwhelming tourist hype...

Obviously just a hype for the name (or maybe the meat, I dont know..), because the vegan ragu is absolutely not something to travel for. Its basically just a tomato sauce thats been boiled for too long (so it tastes almost like a sour passata) with i tiny amount of overly cooked pieces of bland seitan, peas and carrots. There is no depth nor umami. It literally has no similarity to a ragu. Staff is friendly though..

If I would go back, I would definitely try something else, although they have proved that they no literally nothing about how to cook flavorful vegan food.

Pros: staff is friendly and good location, Bruschetta were good, clearly indicated vegan & vegetarian dishes

Cons: The ragu is just a bland tomato sauce..

Best ragu gnocchi I’ve had

This is one of the best pasta / pizza restaurants in Napoli. I had the gnocchi with vegan ragu who are veggie but can be vegan by taking out the cheese. The ragu is made with seitan.

They were the best, reminded me of my grandma’s! They also have many other veggie / vegan options

Pros: Vegan ragu, Labeled options

Nice

The restaurant is pretty nice, vegan and vegetarian options were clearly marked on the menu. I liked the vegan ragú, but the portion was a little small, so order a starter with it. Also there could have been more seitan. This place is also a little bit more pricey.

good ragù

this place is known as great ragù spot, according to lonely planet it has a "cult following". apart from the original, meat-based ragù they serve a vegan version. unfortunately the veg version is not mind-blowing - it's basically a tomato sauce with some veggies. from what I understand the meat-based ragù is something more satisfying.

on the plus side the prices are good and they have a very large selection of vegan and vegetarian options, all of them clearly marked. it's also nice that if (like me) you travel with a meat-eating partner and they want to try ragù you can come here, eat a veggie version and not feel completely left out ;)

Pros: lots of options, clearly marked, good prices

Soso

We both order the spaghetti vongole vegan after a long story why it is vongole yet vegan, the story was long and nice so are hope was high. Really disappointing at the end it was expensive pasta with tomato and quit small portions. Starter was good but also small portion for the price.

Cons: Expensive , Small portion

Amazing vegan ragu

This was absolutely delicious. I agree with the other reviews, more seitan would've been nice. Also I wasn't so happy that the vegan ragu was more expensive than the meat version but it was delicious nonetheless. Great espresso too

Vegan Ragu was great

Gave this restaurant a try and wasn’t disappointed. The Vegan Ragu was mostly tomato sauce, carrots, peas and a little seitan (in my opinion they could have added more seitan) but that’s just preference. Make sure you specify "vegan" when ordering the Ragu bc they also have a meat Ragu option.

Pros: Different kind of italian vegan food, Moderately priced

Good Neapolitan style ragù vegan option

Here with friends I had the chance to have the vegan ragù option.
I bet this restaurant has made its fortune with the classic meat ragù... it offers some vegan options but not the best places for vegans.

Pros: Vegan ragù

Cons: Rip-off tourist prices

Bonus points for special vegan option

Although this place serves a meat dish as the main speciality, they have created a special, clearly labled vegan ragù (seitan-based) which is very delicious and adequatedly priced. Many side dishes are also vegan, the salads are creative and filling. Get the takeaway if you can, as it is way cheaper and just as tasty

Sympathisch

Absolut lecker, French Fries!

Mostly Pasta

Had lunch at Tandem. It is the touristic center of Naples so it's often full and the staff speaks english. They have a few choices of vegetarian/vegan pasta.
The staff was nice and the food was good but nothing out of the extraordinary :)

Pros: clearly labelled options

Lovely dinner

I was very happy to try the napolitan ragu vegan version, done with seitan. The waiter presented us the 5 diffent pastas you can choose with this famous gravy. For those who are gluten intolerant, you can have gluten free pastas with an eggplant and tomatoes sauce. The waiter was also nicely helping me to choose the right wine.

As good as the real thing

If I had my eyes closed I could swear I was eating spaghetti con vongole "clams", instead there was no seafood but 100% taste. Ragù napoletano was also veeeery tasteful. Well done!

Cheap, tasty fast food

The meal was pretty tasty if nothing outstanding (I got rigatoni with vegan ragu). It was cheap and filling, so I'd recommend this place if you're hungry and just looking to eat quickly and easily.

Be aware if you're ordering as a veggie (rather than vegan): there is meat in the ragu as standard, and you have to ask for this to be vegetarian.

Pros: Almost any menu item can be vegan, Seating available, Quick and easy

Cons: Barely any seitan in the ragu
