Amazing Vegan Fried Chicken - Edit
A somewhat regular customer, my go to takeaway for something a bit greasy. Normally get the popcorn chicken (pictured) but also had the burgers and wings before. Popcorn is definitely the most bang for your buck!! I love to dip them in the gravy 🤤. Of course not healthy but I'm vegan for the animals lol, a nice treat on occasion. Not the cheapest but not crazy expensive. £10 for the popcorn, regular fries and drink if you get a combo. Mac n cheese is also very good! Pretty much always get takeaway and have never been to the hackney branch irl so can't comment on the actual store.

Tasty, decadent vegan fast food - Edit
I tried their vanilla milkshake, seitan wings, tater tots and seitan chicken burger. All very tasty, though the wings and seitan chicken burger were the same - if you order one you don’t really need to have the other. The tater tots could do with being a bit crispier. First time having “fried chicken” since going vegan - very much enjoyed it!

Yummy seitan - Edit
Temple of Seitan (king’s cross) is in a joint building with several other restaurants. You can order takeaway directly from the restaurant, or you can be seated, order your food online (from any of the restaurants, including temple of seitan, as well as from the facility’s drinks menu) and have the food brought to you. The “chicken” was good, we especially enjoyed the “wings”/Buffalo chicken. My favorite was the Mac and cheese, it was topped with sour cream and vegan bacon.

Best vegan fast food! - Edit
There isn’t a thing I don’t like on the menu! Better than any other vegan fast food I’ve had! The Mac and cheese is absolutely captivating. And the staff is really really friendly. 😊

Didn’t enjoy - Edit
I expected so much…but was let down. I just simply didn’t enjoy the food I had. Maybe they’ve changed the taste. I did go a couple of years ago or so.

Realistic Seitan “Chicken” - Edit
Picked up a two piece fillet box on the way to the underground as I had always wanted to try it. It did not disappoint! A really good seitan recreation, the only criticism I had was the chilli seasoning was a bit too sweet.

Food / bar / pub mall - Edit
Small, cozy food mall / bar / pub ☺️ very close to King's Coss / St. Pancras. In food area, around 15 seats inside, more outside. The vegan counter sells burgers, fries, gravy (!) & 'chicken'. It is fast food but the food hall is a winner, look ar photos ✨ pls

Iconic place but not a first class vegan establishment any more - Edit
I have been a very keen supporter of Temple of Seitan in the past and have spent a large amount of money on their burgers and chicken buckets. I always thought it as great value for money for fried chicken buckets and a great establishment for a tasty vegan burger.
Read moreI think however, there are much better options out there for vegan options out there and they may be held back by their strictly seitan menu in the context of an expanding and innovative vegan faux meat industry.
My go-to budget options: Doner box, 50/50 chicken/chips portion
My favourite option overall: Temple burger (the chicken-style one)
Pros: Great burger options, More than decent budget options
Cons: Too much seitan

Quick and easy - Edit
We were looking for something quick and easy between trains and this hit the spot. Tasty and very reasonably priced. Table service via QR code helped speed things along.

Good food, a bit hard to find - Edit
This is located inside a collection of restaurants called goods way, and you can order from any of the restaurants there on your phone. Was a bit confused about this at first as I was looking for a shop front that said temple of seitan. Mac and cheese was very good, the popcorn style seitan was nice. We also liked the salt they use on the fries.

It’s okay - Edit
I had TOS a few times and the first times I liked the taste but my tummy was always upset after I had their food. Then the last couple of times I went I thought the Seitan tasted bland.

Amazing food - Edit
First time trying Temple of Seitan, we ordered the popcorn bites, BBQ ‘wings’, potato tots, fried and 2 milkshakes. Everything was incredible!!!! The biscoff milkshake was my favourite.

Avoid at all costs - Edit
Visited this branch on the 17th of October. The fast were completely clueless. They didn’t know how much anything on the menu costed, and when I asked them for soft drinks they wouldn’t show me because they thought the drinks at another bar were better. Food arrived 30 minutes after we ordered and it was completely cold. I’m surprised service could reach such lows…

Temple of Seitan - Edit
Vegan comfort/junk food about sums it up here. They serve various seitan and chicken style burgers along with various sides such as vegan mac 'n' cheese.
Read moreI ordered the "Temple Deluxe" comprised of a 1/4 pound patty, burger sauce, cheese, bacon, lettuce, and pickles. I think most vegans would really love this burger but I thought it was OK, this is because I'm spoiled living near the best vegan junk food place on Earth (The Butcher's Son in Berkeley, CA). I also ordered the vegan mac 'n' cheese because some other reviews said this was the best on Earth. It was good, but there is another place in London that does vegan mac better. This mac was very thick and seemed to need more flavor. Overall though, I think this is a good concept with good food and reasonable prices. I'll go back when I want to be a "bad vegan".
PS- It would be really funny if they renamed their "Temple Spicy" to "Temple 666"...you know, just because they named their restaurant Temple of Seitan.

Good vegan fast food - Edit
My expectations were so high that i can’t give it 5 stars. The mac and cheese was disappointing as it was a cashew based cheese. The kebab wrap was great but my friend ordered her burger without sauce and it came with it so she didn’t finish her food.

Taste was good... - Edit
The taste was good but the service is extremely bad, i ordered through uber eats (15/20 mins away from my home) & i ordered at 7pm - the waiting time was 50-60 mins which is still quite long but i didnt mind however my food came at 9:30pm (i was also fasting so i couldnt eat anything for nearly an hour). Taste wise it was good but definitely not worth waiting 2hrs 30 mins. The hot wings were overly seasoned (and i love spice but it wasnt the spice that bothered me) i also got nashville hot & again same problem like the wings, the totes were nice but it was very soggy and cold & the animal snack pack was the only thing that was really nice but i still was quite cold

Unbelievably delicious vegan fast food - Edit
I like the occasional burger and loaded fries. But those are hard to find if you prefer vegan food. This place makes it happen nevertheless. Delicious fast food, all vegan, tastes better than any of the chain’s standard recipes. Likely not the best if you are on a weight loss journey. For the occasional fast food craving this is the place to go. Tried a few burgers, fries, coleslaw, mac’n’cheese, hot filets, and sauces. Every meal I had was delicious.

Really lovely spot for the new shop, just opposite Granary Square and the canal steps. The food is incredible, as usual - there’s not yet a way to earn loyalty points, though (but that might just have been because it was literally the first week of opening!)
