Good food and ambiance, very salty! - Edit
Loved the vibe in here, fair amount of vegan options including sweet (pancakes) and multiple salty. Delicious home fries. My breakfast burrito was very salty but still good. Would return

Great food, nice vibe - Edit
This is the second Friendly Toast location I've been to. I love all things vintage, and find the decor fun and inviting. The wait staff was attentive and efficient. Food was great! We had veggie burritos, huevos ranchos and the peanut butter pancakes. All perfect portions and fresh. It was busy when we arrived, but we were seated in under 20 minutes.

Don’t Go Alone! - Edit
Can’t comment on the food, because I couldn’t get a table.
Read moreI was told there are no tables for a party of 1 and I would have to sit at the bar.
Terrible customer service. Thought about calling the manager, but decided I didn’t want to support a place that treats people that way.

Good great but service less so - Edit
I ordered the burrito and thought it tasted great. The atmosphere was fun but unfortunately I found the service to be not very friendly. We were repeatedly rushed along even though it was a weekday and tables around us sat empty the whole time we were there.

Great Breakfast Place - Edit
Would give it 5 stars if the app allowed it. My new favorite breakfast place. Delicious vegan food. The vegan pancake is excellent; had it with caramelized banana. Vegan breakfast burrito and home fries were excellent. Hearty portions. Coffee was great too. Looking forward to going back when I am next in Burlington. Highly recommend!

I had the vegan pasta, it was very good. The sauce and sausage was excellent but would rather have a little less of both and more veggies

So so - Edit
The vegan burrito was decent but expensive for what you get. The vegan pancakes were mediocre, too dense, but huge. They give you about a table spoon of syrup for a full plate sized pancake, but will provide more if asked. Unfortunately they don’t have any vegan butter despite their other vegan meal options. Service isn’t super fast even though we went and were seated immediately with only a few other patrons. The waitress was very nice though. Worth noting their vegan cheese option is daiya- my least favorite, but easy to order without.

the vegan items on the menu are pretty basic(pancakes, burrito, impossible burger, etc) but SO good. They put their own spin on it and I’m never disappointed

Vegan Diner Food Done Well - Edit
I went to the Friendly Toast location in Portsmouth, NH many years ago and there really weren't any vegan options. It's good to see they have since updated their menu with way more vegan options.
Read moreDuring my stay in Burlington I ate here twice. The vegan breakfast burrito is huge and is great with a touch of sriracha. The scrambles are good as well. They have 3 types of toast that are vegan, but no vegan butter/margarine option.
Pros: Large portion, Comfort Food

Poor service and mediocre food - Edit
This place was good for breakfast but nothing to write home about. It’s a good place to have available because breakfast in Burlington wasn’t as easy for vegans as lunch/dinner, but I wouldn’t bother for other meals. One standout item was the mimosa flight, which was a lot of fun.
Read moreThe service, however, was horrible. The wait is really long almost every time of day, and they don’t take reservations. Instead, they force you to join the “waitlist” on Yelp (a company I avoid for their terrible tactics used on restaurants), and then aren’t able to honor the wait times listed.
They leave tables open both inside and out because the kitchen is easily overwhelmed and gets backed up, which is frustrating to see when you’re stuck standing outside for a 45-minute wait. They will also sometimes slow down seating (not filling newly-opened tables at the same rate they had been) to avoid kitchen backup, which means the estimated wait times can grow from what’s originally estimated.
The staff is friendly but a lot of them are either poorly trained or working under managers who are bad at their jobs. It’s not their fault, so if you do go, don’t take your frustrations at the management of the place out on your servers and tip them well. I heard a lot of folks grumbling about leaving bad tips because of the service, but they were doing the best they could; this was clearly a top-down issue.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Outdoor seating, Large breakfast menu
Cons: Terrible management, Long wait times; must use Yelp, Food is just ok

Quick and easy processed vegan food. Not the worst, not the best. Daiya cheese, impossible burgers and the like. The tofu breakfast burrito is decent. Not bad in a pinch, better options in the downtown area.

great vegan options! - Edit
I visited here with my mother this morning and we loved it! The environment is very unique and the menu is very extensive. I opted for the vegan pancakes with bananas and chocolate chips. They even bring in mini bottles of Grade A Organic VT-made maple syrup! So good! My mom got the blueberry muffins, but she didn’t care for them much. No plastic straws or styrofoam to-go containers (compostable options!!) so I was very glad to hear that! Although the prices were quite high, I will definitely be returning!

Vegan indulgences! - Edit
Lots of vegan options, if you are in the mood for processed vegan food! This isn’t where you get quinoa bowls or whole foods ... you can, however, get vegan pancakes, nachos, burgers (impossible burger), melty vegan wraps, tofu scrams, and exciting things like cheesy tater tots covered in strawberry habanero glaze (a modification of an existing non-vegan menu item.)

Amazing vegan friendly restaurant - Edit
A very fun and eclectic environment. The vegan nachos were scrumptious. Even my relatives who aren't vegan took part and said they were tasty. They have many vegan options for breakfast since they have vegan cheese and tofu, almost anything can be made vegan. I ordered the build your own scrambled and added the impossible burger for an extra punch at only $3 extra. Two out of three of their breads are vegan. Oh and they have vegan gluten free pnacakes which made my heart sing. So of course I took the leftovers with me.
