Eh

I have tried this place multiple times and I'm just not a huge fan. The jackfruit korma is the only thing worthwhile here. Chana masala is way too oily. Like puddle sitting on top your food oily.

Delicious Vegan Lunch Box

I love that they have a vegan lunch box 😍. It's so delicious and has a good variety of noms (see pic - also a large portion!). I definitely plan to try their vegan entree options in the future! I'm so glad they list out what's vegan and what's not.

Pros: Delicious!, Lots of options that are laid out as vegan, Healthy

Delicious take out option

Ordered this through door dash with Omni friends. All vegan options are clearly labeled on the menu, and vegan options (of which there are many) are listed separately from vegetarian dishes. Many vegetarian dishes can be modified to be vegan too. My vegan meal was easy to distinguish from my Omni friends' food which I appreciated. Portion sizes were excellent and consistent with this cuisine. Overall, delicious food. highly recommend. Will be ordering this again

Pros: Good portion sizes, Vegan appetizers and sides, Separate, labeled vegan menu (not just vegetarian), Delicious, authentic Indian cuisine

Cons: Expensive but typical price for this food category

Delish!!

I love this place for the food and staff. However, the owner is stern and is harsh if you ever have an issue with their food.

Worst experience ever

It was our worst experience in our life. We came to celebrate our grandma's 80th birthday. The owner ruined everything. He is the rudest man I will ever see in my life. My grandma did not like the rice she took in her plate and she could not complete it. The owner was mad that she wasted his food. My dad tried to convince him and told him that she did not like it so she could not finish it. He started yelling in front of other customers and told us not to come to his restuarant anymore. I saw tears rolling out of my grandma's eyes and she thinks it was all her fault. I really wanted to punch him on his face and walk out for making my grandma cry. But my dad was so patient and he calmed all of us. Even though we did not complete our lunch my dad was so good to pay for it and also thanked the owner. I really want to thank whole heartedly the employee and the neighbouring customers who came to us and appologized the behaviour of the owner. Please give a thumbs up below if anyone of you had a bad experience with the owner of this restuarant.

Pros: Feel sorry for the employees

Cons: RUDE OWNER/MANAGER

Yes unfortunately I’ve experienced his rudeness before when we were displeased with the food (before the explosion in that building). We gave them another chance after that happened and haven’t experienced it since. Sad to see he remained in his bad manners!

The BEST Indian restaurant

Mango Grice has reopened after shutting spen for over a year when threw shopping center exploded. They've added a vegan jackfruit korma that is outstanding. They also added a vegan mango lassi, too.

All their food is wonderful. Most of their menu features southern Indian cuisine that absolutely teems with flavor.

Go to Mango Grove. You will not be disappointed.

Pros: Excellent food, Lots of vegan options, Friendly and knowledgeable staff

Great Indian Food, Great Owner

Wish I could give five stars, but not a completely veg restaurant. Lots of excellent choices, well marked vegan options, and owner willing to make vegan options. Even does non-SOS with preorder for Mondays. Outstanding!

Tasty Indian Food

My cousin brought me here to celebrate my birthday (Thanks Cuz!). We ordered pakoras and samosas for appetizers (both vegan, cousin enjoyed them also even though eats meat). My cousin got chicken tikka masala. She said it was really good. I had the Manglorian Eggplant curry. It was very good.

Pros: Several vegan options

Outstanding Vegan friendly buffet

Knowledgeable staff to ask about all items. Vegan Roti instead of naan available for vegans. Large variety of vegan food with items changing at least weekly. Vegan dosas available to order at no additional cost. Excellent, attentive service. A must go if you like or want to try vegan Indian food.

Pros: Lots of vegan options rotated weekly, Vegan breads and dosas available upon request, Excellent service

Cons: Not all foods are labeled requiring questions

Absolutely Amazing!

I wish I could give this place 5 stars!! Sadly, they do have meat options here, but that’s only in the tiny menu. The main menu is all vegan and veg options. Broccoli 65 is phenomenal! I get it every time. The cashew korma is also a personal favorite. The vegan samosas are fantastic and so crisp. They have a wide variety of beverage options as well. Though had to use the “vegaholic” app so I could find what alcoholic beverages I could consume.

Pros: Tons a vegan options, Vegan/veggie menu is the bigger menu, Wait staff is so polite and quick.

The Real Deal

This was the first place I've tried Indian food since going vegan almost two years ago, and it did not disappoint. The staff were friendly, service was quick (under 5 minute wait to eat!) and everything tasted delicious and authentic. There was even a separate vegetarian menu, the majority of which were clearly marked as vegan dishes. Would especially recommend the moong dal curry.

Delicious!

I've been here several times for their lunch buffet. It is amazing! Flavors are perfectly balanced and there are plenty of options. Be sure to try their broccoli. If you are vegan, there are tons of choices- just ask for a tour (its easier for them to specify what is not vegan than what is) and specify that you would like vegan bread.

Staff is very friendly and attentive during the lunch hours as well. Highly recommend!

Hope to drop in for dinner sometime

Great, vegan-friendly, Indian Eats!

I had dinner here with my soon-to-be in-laws. One of them found it, and I knew nothing going in, and more often than not...that is cause for concern.
Not this time. This place has tasty Indian food that is truly among the best I've had. I'm used to brightly colored slop, most of which I can't eat because it contains dairy.
This spot has an entire menu of veg/vegan options.
Don't miss out on the jackfruit dish. Amazing treat of a plant that looks and chews like pulled pork or chicken.

Pros: Tasty, Savory, Reasonable Price, Helpful Staff

Cons: Pretty Salty, 40min From Major City

Very Nice

I went to the lunchy buffet and was allowed to carry-out. As the buffet is over at 3 PM on Mondays. The selection was nice and the food was very tasty. The staff was kind and attentive. They even brought me fresh naan and dosas prior to me leaving. It was a little difficult to locate the restaurant since I'm not a Columbia native. But now that I know where they are, I will certainly return.

Pros: friendly staff, good prices, nice variety

Cons: hard to locate, odd hours

Don't bother.

I've eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants all over the U.S and Canada. It's my favorite food. They have 2 separate divided sides to the restaurant. One is meat and the other is Veggie. Very little Vegan. I had a meal, and 2 appetizers. I don't need to ever go back. It's OK at best.

Pleasant Meal

This review refers to the dinner menu, not the lunch time buffet. I found the menu to be overwhelming in a good way, meaning there are SO many vegetarian and vegan options that my head was spinning! I ended up with a dosai stuffed with potato and onion, and my boyfriend had a coconut curry type veggie dish. Both were super tasty and in large portions. Prices were average for Indian food (generally between $10-15). The atmosphere is pleasant. Staff-wise, I found them helpful and kind but sort of slow to take your order and check in periodically. Overall, it's definitely a nice place, and I will be returning!

Pros: Many yummy veggie and vegan options, Good portion sizes, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Sort of pricey, Slow service

One of my favorite Indian buffets of all time.

Note - this review is only for the Indian lunch buffet, not the full menu at dinner time, which I haven't tried in several years. Mango Grove is one of my favorite Indian restaurants of all time, and I've eaten in many all over the country. It's also one of my omni husband's favorites, and the many friends and relatives we've brought there have loved the food.

We love the Indian lunch buffet, served every day except Tuesday. (Slightly more expensive on weekends.) The restaurant is 100% vegetarian, and the vast majority of dishes served are vegan, with generally no more than two hot dishes on a single day having dairy in them. (The vegetable korma is never vegan, and on occasion there's a dish with yogurt.) Also be careful about the spinach dish, which has the panir (cheese), about one third of the time. The rest of the time it will be plain or have chana (chickpeas). Unfortunately, the dishes are not always labelled, but you can always ask the helpful staff and they'll let you know what's vegan and what is not.

I've never been to an Indian buffet with a larger rotation of dishes throughout the week and month. My favorites include the lemon rice, yellow dahl, channa masala, and green beans. They also have a good okra/tomato dish. Along with the buffet, they will serve a potato dosa at the table. It's generally entirely too greasy (so I blot it in my placemat), but quite good.

One thing to watch out for at this restaurant: There is a sister Indian/Asian restaurant in the same building as this one where they serve meat. People are allowed to eat at both buffets, and the rule is that no one is allowed to bring meat into Mango Grove. On infrequent occasion, someone will bring meat on their into Mango Grove and then go to the Mango Grove buffet, pouring Mango Grove's sauces onto their plate and touching the utensil to the meat. (I've seen this 2 or 3 times and have probably eaten at the buffet a hundred times.)

Overall however, one of my favorites for the wide variety of delicious vegan food at a reasonable price.

Pros: Delicious vegan food, Wide variety of vegan food, Helpful friendly staff.

Cons: Not organic, Not always well-labelled, See comments about meat from next door.

Now that Mango has moved, some of my review is outdated. The food remains the same. However, there is no longer the issue with the meat buffet raised above. Also, Mango is now open 7 days a week including Tuesdays.
