A great burger - Edit
Picture the scene. You wake up at 5 AM and spend 6 and half hours on a bus to Rochester in order to see the totality of a once in a generation eclipse. You couldn’t find eclipse glasses to go over your regular glasses so you’re wearing contacts which are irritating your eyes. For some reason you've developed a weird pain in your right leg. You climb a hill to get a good spot to see the whole sky. But it’s cloudy, and it stays cloudy. The eclipse comes and goes and all you saw was the world go briefly dark and light again. Everyone back in New York City actually had a great view, pictures and all. The vegan restaurants you wanted to visit are closed for the day. You have hours before your bus ride home and life is looking bleak…but enter Swillburger.

Now we all know what an Impossible burger tastes like- the consistency is part of the appeal. But in my moment of despair, THIS Impossible burger was a salvation. So I recommend Swillburger with my full heart.

The vegan swill sauce is like thousand island dressing sooo good. And their curry fries oh my. Only thing is their gluten free bun has egg so I always bring my own bread😄

GET THE KRISPY TOFU - Edit
WOW this place is amazing!! Everything can be made vegan by either omitting/substituting certain ingredients. They even have a vegan macaroni salad! We got the krispy tofu sandwichs, cajun tots & vegan mac and loved everything. Also the atmosphere is so cool since it is connected to an arcade bar.

My favourite burger likely ever - Edit
Okay I don't know what it is about this place, but they make the BEST burgers. Gotta be a combination of the bun, the vegan Swill sauce, the cheese... it's just my vegan McDonald's fantasy. And holy milkshakes, how are they so good?! I always get the chocolate with strawberries mixed in. I also highly recommend the cajun fries 🤤 They have many vegan options and add-ons, and never disappoint!! Go to here!

This place has really great vegan options. The Impossible Burger is great, of course, but their beet burger is super great as well. Occasionally they have a fried tofu sandwich and vegan poutine. I’ve had a great salad or two here as well. Also, Vegan MILKSHAKES!

Swillburger has an amazing variety for vegan options, and their homemade veggie burgers are absolutely the best!! And they have vegan MILKSHAKES!! Pretty much anything on the menu can be made vegan, including their specialty tots which are changed often. I always have fun seeing the new tot options! If that all wasn't enough, they are also attached to a barcade!! Of course they are not currently open due to covid but with an amazing staff and atmosphere, it is one of my favorite places to grab a drink, hang with friends and a great bite to eat in the Rochester area!

Vegan Milkshakes?? Yes please! They have chocolate and vanilla. Sounds super basic, but they are basically the best vegan milkshakes around. Even my husband craves these, and he's not vegan!

The beet burger is exceptional. The tots & fries are also good, but it's nice that they also offer a healthful salad: usually something seasonal & really well done, i.e. not iceberg lettuce & 1 tomato.

Delicious Veggie Burger and Tots - Edit
My girlfriend and I visit Swillburger every few weeks when we are craving a veggie burger. They are so delicious. There are other vegan options on the menu as well. Another favorite is Tots, topped with sun-dried tomatoes and pesto sauce.

If you are craving a burger, shake, and fries, look no further than Swillburger! They have a vegan burger, tons of vegan toppings to load it up with (including their signature sauce, which is criminally good!), and vegan shakes and sides! They also have rotating specials on tots (including garbage plate tots, which can be made vegan!!), other sides, and mix-in's for their milkshakes.
Read moreWhile you are limited to just the vegan burger as the main dish, their menu in general is fairly small in that respect (I believe their three other main items are a beef burger, a chicken sandwich, and a grilled cheese sandwich). I mix things up with a different milkshake, or trying out the rotating tots or sides!
It can also get really busy on the weekends, and they do card after a certain time, but I think if you are picking up you can just tell the bouncer that and they'll let you through even if you're under 21. They JUST opened a bunch of new seating in the back, though, so hopefully there won't be as much of a seating issue now.

Very vegan friendly, their head chef (Brian) is a food phenom. Lots of creative dishes, and their tots are always a MUST. Their veggie burger is fresh made everyday, and is the best in rochester. Be sure to grab a vegan smoothie with Eat Me Ice Cream brand ice cream! Their arcade games are very reasonably priced. Bar has plenty of options. The atmosphere is a bit loud, so don't plan on having lengthy romantic conversations over candlelight, but there are plenty of other places for that in ROC. This is a gem for Rochester!

Large bar with arcade-style games everywhere and counter food. You get a buzzer when your meal is ready. Separate cooking space for vegan items is a plus. Burgers are smaller in size than expected, they were just good but the milkshakes were excellent. Recommend the vegan cranberry milkshake made with eat-me ice-cream. Great late-night atmosphere to hang out while getting a burger and some snacks.

Great Vegan Burger and Tots - Edit
It's really hard to find good vegan burgers in a casual, bar atmosphere in Rochester. This is the place to go if you want that burger stand type burger and an order of fries. Best of all, their tater tots are really good and they can add vegan toppings. Definitely worth trying.
