Finally, good pasta - Edit
Twenty minutes from the Old Town, it’s easy to miss this little gem, but if you get the chance I’d say it’s worth the drive. Highlights include pasta that amazingly isn’t overcooked and a whole range of beautifully presented baked goods.
Read moreThe glowing reviews persuaded us to try their spaghetti Alfredo and we’re glad we did! The bar is low when it comes to pasta in Thailand, but this was the best pasta dish we’ve eaten here by far. Creamy, comforting, and the pasta cooked al dente if can you believe it?! They even have a version with a vegan egg yolk if you’re curious to try that.
The Wimpy cheeseburger was underwhelming, lacking juiciness and served with slightly undercooked wedges. The flavour itself wasn’t bad, just more of a classic veggie burger, but could’ve done with a more flavourful sauce and overall was priced too high for what you get.
I’m always on the lookout for a good Caesar salad and theirs didn’t disappoint, nailing those classic umami flavours. It isn’t very filling as a main dish, however, as it mostly consists of just lettuce and dressing. Some ’chicken’ or grilled tofu would’ve greatly enhanced it.
We’ll be going back to try their desserts, of which they have an impressive selection. Lava cake, waffles, cookies, various flavoured brioche and a whole range of delicate cake slices worthy of a fancy French pâtisserie. Whilst you’re out this way, head to the Royal Park Rajapruek botanical garden just down the road and make a day of it.

Heerlijke Pad Thai - Edit
Door Grab lieten we 2 Pad Thai bezorgen en een saté met pindasaus als voorafje. De porties waren flink en voor ons voldoende voor een avondmaaltijd. De smaak was heerlijk. Zowel van de Pad Thai als van de saté. Echte aanrader.

Worth it! - Edit
This place is quite out of the way, being farther south from the old town, but the food is impeccable. The pasta was beyond words and the waffles- devine.
Read moreI honestly didn’t taste the v egg yolk in the food. We concluded it’s there mostly for the look and the feel or memories of having an egg yolk in this way, but the dish really shines on its own, so I would even recommend not paying the extra for it and just getting the pasta unless your curiosity gets the best of you.
The desserts, the meal, everything was just perfect. Would recommend and return!

I'm so hungry right now😅 The egg looks amazing, was it liquidy inside? Maybe more black salt would give more flavour... Egg yolk spherification is on my cooking to-do-list😉
Read moreLooks like a great place!

Yes it was liquid! I also would love to practice spherification! I’m not a fan of the black salt/egg taste myself, but you’re probably right about it giving more flavor. ☺️

Amazing vegan food - Edit
You will get all your comfort food favorites and then some. Fettuccine Alfredo with fake bacon, Asian stirfry with a fake fried egg on top. I liked their kambucha which had no sugar. Food came out quickly. The vegan burger was beyond meat with a combination of melted cheeses and special sauce. Didn’t have room for dessert but the desserts looked incredible. It’s a bit of a trip outside of town, but it’s worth the trip!

We Loved It! - Edit
Came here for Valentine's Day with my husband. It was not as romantic or cosy as I'd hoped but it is a bright, modern and clean establishment with nice alcoves to sit in. All of the dishes we tried were excellent which included the wimpy burger, waffles and cauliflower wings, fried calamari and a molton dessert. The fried calamari was probably our least favourite as it was just a little bit plain although the dipping sauce was good. The burger was very tasty and note that it wasn't made with a meat substitute, which we're not fans of. The cake was a delight especially when the chocolate sauce dripped out of the middle. My non-vegan hubby said it's the best vegan restaurant he's tried. Only drawback is the prices are higher than average but the dishes are pretty unique. It's also a bit out of town but worth the trip for a nice occasion.

This hidden gem is amazing! Their food is delicious (we had the mushroom soup, the fried "calamari" and the vegan carbonara). The chef used to be a pastry chef at the Shangri-la hotel and their lava cake is to die for!

Delicious and Plentiful - Edit
Visited Vegano twice. The first time we had the Wimpy Cheeseburgers. They were tasty and very big, although they weren't very hot. Considering everything is cooked fresh, this was a little disappointing, but not enough to put us off. Our second visit was with friends. We had a mixture of dishes. Again, lovely big portions. But this time everything came out hot. Just perfect. We particularly liked the calamari rings, pesto spaghetti and aglio e olio. We finished with the molton lava cake. Wow! Absolutely delicious. Lovely smoothies too, served in glass with paper straws. The staff is lovely too, very friendly. And the restaurant is clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend.
