Great vegan options! - Edit
The burger was very messy but very worth it! The hummus was also the best hummus I have ever had.

Great food - Edit
True Food Kitchen was a nice surprise. It had enough vegan options to keep us happy. The food was very good. The service friendly and accommodating. They even got us in and out in 30 min so we could make our movie time.

Korean. Noodle. Bowl. - Edit
The Korean noodle bowl was sooo tasty, and it honestly surpassed my expectations. There is not much to say besides I enjoyed how loaded it was with fresh veggies. I also ordered the strawberry cheesecake, but it came with no strawberries? I doubt that was intentional, but the cheesecake itself was one of the better vegan cheesecakes I have had, especially with the fluffy filling. The location at the mall is excellent, and I love the amount of vegan options! I definitely will eat here again and recommend giving True Food Kitchen a try.

Nice restaurant! Not my first choice but :) - Edit
This restaurant was very nice. I had to been to it before in another location, and the menu did not differ much. The food came quickly and it was rather yummy. It was definitely “health” food. I believe the burger was made from some kinda of beat mixture..? Anywho it was yummy!

Not too bad! - Edit
I went to the restaurant for Mother’s Day with my family. My partner and I were the only Vegans. The fresh juice was amazing as well as the Korean Noodles (sweet potato glass noodle, pickled shiitake, spinach, heirloom carrot, bean sprout, toasted sesame). I also had the fresh juice called the Bright Eyes (apple, ginger, beet, pineapple, turmeric, carrot), which was amazing. I’m not sure the food had enough flavor for the fam (they did not care for the sweet potatoes) but I enjoyed it.

Love! Love! Love! - Edit
The first time I ate at True Foods Kitchen was when I visited Atlanta and I was blown away. Now visiting SD, I was ecstatic to see True Foods and again they did not disappoint. With so many delicious vegan options it was hard to choose but somehow managed to narrow it down to 3. Charred Cauliflower, artichoke and pesto pizza and inside out quinoa burger. Yum! Yum! Yum!

Stopped by for a quick lunch from my hotel across the street. Ridiculously good Ancient Grains Bowl and a good beer/drink menu. Great vegan selection. May be my staple for the 4 days I'm in town!

Wish I could give five stars! We shared the TLT with kale salad and sweet potato hash. Also had the margarita pizza with almond ricotta. Very generous portions, pretty presentation and delicious flavors. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic Experience! - Edit
This venue is very pleasant and conveniently located in a mall -- you can sit indoors or out -- Our server was very attentive without being overbearing and made sure we were happy with our choices. My friend had the Ancient Grains salad and since she's not vegan, had some shrimp added - she was very pleased with her choice. I had the TLT sandwich which was delicious in every way! I also had a Chia Lemonade that was just perfect and we each had dessert - mine was the vanilla bean vegan ice cream topped with blueberries -- delicious -- and she had the flour-less chocolate cake topped with vegan vanilla bean ice cream which she said was absolutely heavenly. We will surely be back for more as the menu is very varied and there's something for everyone - vegan, vegetarian or omnivore!

Delicious, fresh, and friendly. - Edit
I took my dad and stepmom here, and was the only vegan of the group, and boy was I pleasantly surprised. My dad is not vegan and doesn't typically like "foo foo" food. He and my step mom ordered pizzas a margherita and a chicken which they enjoyed. I ordered a charred cauliflower dish for the appetizer and the ancient grains bowl. The charred cauliflower was so delicious and had a tangy creamy sauce. The grains bowl had a medley of flavors but they all worked surprisingly well together. The vegan key lime dessert was just the icing on the cake we were looking for. Everyone at the table loved the dessert and it changed their perception of a "vegan" dessert. The ambiance and customer service was on point on top of everything else. This place is a must try!

True Food Alternative to the Mall Food Court - Edit
True Food is a great place to hang out and "people watch" from the Fresh Juice "bar" because it is located at a key entrance to the Fashion Valley mall - a high end shopping destination. It doesn't hurt that they have great, healthy food options and fresh juice drinks too. We love to order the veggie crudite appetizer (huge!) with the olive and hummus tapenades and dip options. A nice alternative to the very corporate and crazy "Cheesecake Factory" right across the street!

More Vegan options than listed - Edit
Before converting to a 100% plant based diet we came here a lot. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out there are far more things that can be made vegan than are listed on the menu...ask your server. For example: the Red Chili Shrimp can be made Vegan by subbing tofu and Gluten Free by subbing shirataki noodles. Other items that can be both Vegan and GF INCLUDE Street tacos, Spaghetti Squash Casserole, all Salads, and various Starters. Smoothies that have honey can be made with agave.
Read morePros: Knowledgeable servers, Friendly staff, Earth friendly practices
Cons: Can be a bit loud due to the architecture of the b, Always a wait when we come
