Beware the beyond meat! - Edit
(In a good way) I ordered something marked vegan and was very surprised when I bit into a meatball. Turns out it was beyond meat. They had little pamphlets explaining such, but they were not at the table. Good food overall and nice vibes.

Really well furnished place with a huge amount of options for both vegetarians and vegans. I went there 3 times in the week I was visiting Odessa. Liked almost everything. Try the cashew cake! Oh wow.😄

A fancy feeling place, pescatarian (fish menu is separate) and everything is well labelled veggie/vegan/raw, with an emphasis on healthy food. Lots of raw dishes, and many containing honey can be veganised on request.
Read moreI couldn't decide and took the waitress's recommendation and ate a very delicious mushroom steak with lentils (it wasn't listed vegan but she said they would veganise it). It was a pretty big portion. Also a good hot chocolate with hazelnut milk. They didn't have any of the desserts I was interested in at the time.
Pricey for Odesa, but still super cheap for visiting Europeans.

Given the limited vegan choices in Odessa, this restaurant is the best you will find. Prices are high for Odessa, but still just ok.

Great food, good vibe. Smoothies were excellent and the carrot cake was great. I also loved the soup and the burritos were tasty. Friendly staff. Highly recommended. Easy to find if you have a map. It is on the way to the park and the beach. It might be good if they had a more prominent sign that they serve vegan and vegetarian food. They have a big sign "healthy food," but something more specific might get more attention. Great job of making delicious, healthy food. Prices are reasonable. They have both vegan and vegetarian options. I highly recommend it without hesitation!

I am guessing that True gets its name from being true to the food. That is, everything is prepared simply with whole organic ingredients. And it works very well. We had the borscht, fresh rolls, some raw flat breads, a burrito, and black rice and steamed vegetables. With the possible exception of the black rice and vegetables dish, all were excellent. The black rice dish was good but I found the rice had too much soy sauce on it.

I wish the owners of this restaurant would consider establishing another True restaurant in my area in Munich. Possibly next to my front door. I would go everyday. The vegan options were delicious. I had black rice and vegetables and a raw carrot cake with a rose and lavender tea. Sounds amazing? Tastes better than that. The interior is calm and environmentally respectful. And the staff were equally delightful. Thank you. I would only ask to have real placemats rather than paper as it is better for our planet.. I'll go back today!
