Worth the little struggle

We did not find it at first. The restaurant is on the left hand of the building. You'll find a little path and a sign.
It really is there, don't give up.

Also make sure to keep you translation App on hand if you're not fluent in Japanese.
These things aside it was wonderful. The owner and her daughter (?) are absolutely wonderful. Super nice and friendly. And the food was extremely delicious.
I'm not entirely sure if everything is vegan or vegetarian. However the curry was clearly named "vegan curry" so I took it.
She even asked us if it was too spicy (it wasn't).

Pros: Little charming restaurant , Lovely staff , Delicious food

Cons: Weren't able to find it at first , Not sure if everything is vegan as listed here, Some meals can run out.

Perfection

Just the most perfect little restaurant run by a mother and daughter. Friendly and welcoming.
Wonderful food beautifully presented.
Only Japanese menu but owner very helpful but be prepared for a bit of google translate.
One of the food highlights of our trip.

Highlight of our trip so far

The cutest restaurant run by a mother and daughter. No English menu so use Google image translate. I recommend the ginger croquettes on the deli menu.

Colourful and tasty lunch sets

Food is tasty and the attention is great. The two ladies that run it are so sweet.

Excellent moment !

Don't miss this! 🙈

This is a perfect spot for a traditional japanese lunch. It is such a peaceful and charming location and the food is soo delicious! We came here after a visit to Gotokuji temple and were so pleasently surprised. The staff is also really friendly. You just have to do a little translating, because the menu is in japanese and the they speak little to no english. If you are having a hard time finding it: look for the (kinda faded) unkimika sign on the left of the apartment building.😄

Pros: All vegan and delicious , Calm atmosphere, Very welcoming staff

Cons: No english menu

A sublime lunch

So wonderful and fresh food. It can be hard to find because it's in a residential area. And the front door is on the side of the building. But it's amazing.

Pros: Freshness of the food , Amazing staff., Let's you work on your Japanese. The menu is in t.

Lovely Lunch Spot

A lovely lunch spot in a quiet residential neighborhood. The staff doesn't speak any English, but the food is so delicious, it's definitely worth checking out!
The menu is quite customizable, with a main meal set with rice (on weekends you can choose between rice and bread), soup, salad, pickled veggies and a choice of two out of a list of other sides. We got the main meal set with rice, daikon and onion miso soup, sesame tofu, and potato croquettes, as well as the main meal set with bread, pumpkin soup, tempeh katsu, and grilled veggies with peanut sauce. We both ordered the drink set for 280 yen more and got coffee and rooibos ginger tea.
The salad was really fresh and crisp with a delicious dressing! The rest of the meal was really tasty as well and not overly salty as is often the case in Japan. Looking forward to going back soon!

Hidden vegan restaurant

Unfortunately we came to late (arrived around 4pm) for lunch. We had tea, spicy hot chocolate and vegan cake. Delicious and very friendly staff.
The menue offers a few vegan dishes/ lunch sets.
Would love to come back and try it.

Pros: Vegan japanese dishes , Cosy location
