Urten is a fantastic place to eat. The menu changes with the seasons and the vegetables are always cooked and presented creatively and well. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is one of shabby chic.

Great atmosphere. Food sounded great on the menu and the plating was pretty but it really lacked salt and flavour in general. Had the 3-course meal and the cheese platter. Everything was ok but nothing extraordinary.

Very disappointed. The setting was very nice, but the food lacked flavours (salt and other). Expensive for what you get. It looks fancy but really there is no taste… A very yummy dessert made it a 3/5, otherwise it would have been a 2. Unfortunately.

Ate one of the best meals we've ever had in May 2024. Hoped to renew the experience, but sadly not this time. Food was fridge cold and the main aubergine dish was cold and very chewy. The two experiences were miles apart. Very disappointing 😞 #Veganuary

Delicious Vegan dining 🌹 - Edit
One of the best Vegan restaurants in Copenhagen, set in a humble loft overlooking the corner block. The cheese board with salami & olives was out of this world good, coupled with a Christmas themed plate and dessert. Nice atmosphere and friendly service to-boot! ⭐️

Except for the dessert, the food was tasty (but cold). We waited 5-10 minutes to be seated (even though we had a reservation) and another 5 to get the menu. We wanted to order the snacks but they were out (Saturday at 7 pm). Ordered 3 courses and drinks and between all courses we had to wait for quite a while. Our last dish came 2 hours after we arrived.

This little gem is located just near the centre of Copenhagen, just above another vegan location (which we avoided after having read the reviews).
Read moreUrten (= herbs) offers a fully vegan, regional and sustainable menu that changes every month. So that's what we took, and weren't disappointed from the starters to the dessert. The atmosphere is cozy and charming and you feel like being at an alternative trattoria in the 70's. The service was very attentive and the suggested wine pairing was brillant.
The only let-down was a German tourist at the table next to us who spoke up very loud and was obviously trying to impress his date. Since the restaurant is very small, you can't avoid the noise level in general.
But that's not to inflict my rating. The culinary experience totally met our expectations and was worth the price. If I lived nearby, I guess I'd check for the menu at least once in a month, so please have my 5 stars.

The food is beautifully plated and every ingredient matches harmoniously with the others! We had bread with cashew cheese as a starter, quinoa with eggplant and pickled raddish as a main course, and the most amazing rhubarb marzipan crumble as a dessert (see picture 🤤). The staff was very kind. Overall, we had a lovely dinner :)

At Urten you can get a menu with either 2 or 3 courses - with the menu changing monthly. Everything is vegan and tasted absolutely amazing. The menu was clearly designed lovingly and with a lot of thought of how the different ingredients match.
