Much better options available - Edit
I hate leaving negative reviews, but our experience was truly disappointing... I want others to avoid having the same experience.
Read moreThe food was bland, and the texture was overly chewy. The bad flavor was masked with excessive sauce, which seemed to just be store-bought ketchup with some seasonings added. With so many amazing vegan options, I would advise you to go someplace else.

What a gem! - Edit
Delicious Osaka specialties like takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and gyoza! You sit on small, low-to-the-ground, table/stools.

Very good restaurant and friendly staff !! - Edit
Really great experience overall at Vegan and Gluten Free Osaka!
Read moreI went there with a group of graduating students. We didn't make a reservation, but they were kind enough to accommodate all of us in the large seiza room.
The food was great! I highly recommend the okonomiyaki, the takoyaki, and the gyoza!!
They also secretly prepared a surprise dessert for us after one of our friends asked them. It was such a lovely surprise, and we were all very grateful.
You may have to wait a little for your food, especially the okonomiyaki, since everything is made to order. It's definitely worth the wait!

Great Vegan Okonomiyaki - Edit
Really enjoyed the food here, we ordered way too much as we didn't expect the Okonomiyaki to be so filling! But everything was really tasty, would recommend coming if you're looking for a fully vegan restaurant in Osaka.
Read moreIt didn't bother us but next door there is some kind of kids club so we did have some young children running past, shouting out sometimes haha!
We also had the gyozas and soy chicken, very good! 🥟

Good food with sub par service and setup - Edit
Staff were not very attentive so it took a while to order our food but the food were pretty good.
Read moreYou have to take off your shoes to enter a room that fits about 12 but you don't sit on a cushion on the floor. Instead, you sit on rock hard uncomfortable chairs.
Takoyaki on a reusable wooden boat would be more environmentally friendly for a nicer eat in experience.

Sorry but wasn’t my favorite - Edit
First of all, I hate to give a poor rating to a vegan restaurant, so I feel terrible but I appreciate honest reviews so here’s mine. The service was good, and I actually liked the novelty of removing my shoes and sitting at a tiny table. It was a little hard to find the restaurant as it is a bit of a maze to reach the basement level. As for the food, perhaps it is just my taste buds at fault, I really wanted to like it but I didn’t really enjoy it. We got the karrage, which was unfortunately surprisingly chewy, the sauce was good though. We also got the okonomiyaki, which I thought was going to be similar to a veggie pancake but it was a lot of cabbage on the bottom with maybe rice paper on top? The sauce and mayo on top were tasty but that didn’t move the needle enough. Lastly, we got the takoyaki, and I personally didn’t mind the chewy rice flour texture but I didn’t enjoy the ginger taste of the sauce. My husband had the opposite opinion, he didn’t like the texture but didn’t think the ginger overpowered the sauce, so take my opinions with a grain of salt. I wish this restaurant the best but it was a miss for me.

Amazing vegan food - Edit
Very nice vegan restaurant with friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. We felt comfortable right away and really enjoyed spending time there 😊
Read moreWe shared five dishes and especially the Okonomiyaki, Takoyaki, Karaage, and the Teriyaki Temaki Sushi were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended if you want to try typical Japanese dishes in a vegan version – everything was really flavorful and well made.
The Gyoza were a bit simpler in comparison and could have used a little more punch in flavor for our taste, but everything else was fantastic. I would definitely come back and can highly recommend this place!

There is better places for vg Okonomiyaki - Edit
I do not agree with the good rating. This was rather disappointing. Although the food was good (but certainly not the best in Osaka), the atmosphere of the restaurant is quite odd being located in the basement of an office building/mall. In the evening it is even somewhat scary imo. Had Okonomiyaki, Edamame and a ice. The Edamame came cold which was not very pleasant. The Okonomiyaki itself was ok. However, I had asked to have it w/o mayonnaise which they forgot about but did not change for whatever reason. At least I got my side rice for free. Staff was friendly but had to ask several times for water. Still would not recommend. There is nicer places.

Me ha gustado mucho la experiencia con los asientos estilo tatami. El lugar era muy bonito y la comida muy vistosa. A nivel personal, un poco sosa, pero muy rica.

Great food, cozy vibes, awesome staff - Edit
Finally had vegan okonomiyaki, did not disappoint! Pretty filling and tasty, loved the sauce and texture. Also ordered the matcha parfait, really nice mix of textures and surprisingly sweet for a matcha treat. You take your shoes off and sit down in low tables, similar to a tatami room. Staff have really good English and know how to recommend based on your preferences. Also shoutout to the polyglot server, really elevated the whole experience! Had a really great time.

Had the okonomiyaki, takoyaki and matcha parfait. Their takoyaki was chewier/softer than what I had at different restaurant, but delicious nonetheless. The parfait is a must!

When comparing I had in mind that there are others way better.

Cons: a bit too oily for me

The service is a little bit chaotic. Food is not super flavourful. But if you are around here between 14-17h it can save you because most vegan places are closed.
