Amazing vegan Turkish food - Edit
Cozy place with a few items offered daily. All homemade lovingly from scratch. The best vegan doner I have ever had. The owner is friendly and is truly feels like a community spot.

Local vegan food! - Edit
Sweet little casual place. The owner and cook is a really warm host, and puts her heart to the dishes. There is a delicious vegan lahmacun and kebeb. When we were there she just baked an excellent avocado chocolate cake. Great place for a vegan stop in a cool neighborhood😄

Vegan lahmacun! - Edit
Since being vegan I don't miss cheese or meat. But there were some dishes that was not about ingredients but about memories, traditions ect. For me it was lahmacun. And I missed it so much!
Read moreAnd finally I found please where I can enjoy it. Meat replaced with sunflower seeds and lentils. The rest is the same: onion with sumac, greens, tomatoes.
I wish it was just baked, but it's good anyway.

THE vegan spot in Turkey - Edit
In my first vegan days here in Turkey I went to Istanbul, as I loved wandering through the city's old streets.
Read moreIt was about lunch time and I was really hungry when I saw a board that said "vegan İskender". I couldn't believe my eyes as İskender kebap used to be my favourite meal back in my carnivore days. I decided to give it a shot and didn't get disappointed. Oya's İskender tastes exactly like meat. It's unbelievable but sooo delicious. Oya and I became friends and I started ordering "meaty" stuff like burgers, Seitan, Suçuk from her to keep myself alive in a not very vegan Turkey.
So whenever I visit her in Istanbul i eat through the whole restaurant as I am a food lover. Believe me, this restaurant is THE spot to go if you're vegan and desperate for good food ♥️ Go and order from her if you can't get there. I store my burgers in the freezer :)
Pros: The owner, Oya., Her attitude and friendliness

Great place for Turkish vegan food - Edit
I was at community kitchen together with some friends and we had a great evening! The food was generous and very tasty. I had vegan burger which was served together with baked potatoes and a side salat. It was very delicious, we will definitely come here again.

Large portions, but food is heavy and very simple. Expensive - Edit
We took a burger and doner, eggplant. 141 tl for this. Eggplant was very tasty. Other food is simple but heavy, not juicy. We eat without pleasure. About cats already written here. They live right in the hall with tables. Prices are expensive, but the menu and interior does not match. Scary toilet. There is no WiFi here.

Would have given 1 star if I could, extremely unhygienic - Edit
I got a vegan döner and some baklava but couldn’t stand the fact that there were so many cats going in and out of the kitchen. There were cats even on the tables and near the food that was being prepared. I forced myself to eat but couldn’t continue when I found a pair of hair strands (most likely from the cats) on my meal. I can’t believe I have payed an above-average money for that. Won’t return.

Very nice place with cheerful owner, great food, but despite a bit small menu choices it’s very tasteful. Best vegan place in Istanbul I ever been. Also there is a two very sociable cats who loves to cuddle😄Thanks for your hospitality!

Good but expensive - Edit
It is a small and cozy restaurant. There was a pretty sweet cat. The food is ok, tasty enough, but I think it is overpriced, especially considering that Istanbul is pretty cheap. I paid 62 TL (about 9€) for a normal plate with orange juice.

Lovely place - Edit
Food was great - the vegan doner was so good and they even had vegan baklava which is hard to come by. Yes, there are cats about but it's a stray cat charity and the lady who runs it is so lovely and clearly passionate about this cause. If you love cats and you love good food then you will love this place :)

Hair in my food - Edit
We ordered one mezze plate and one döner plate. The mezze plate wasnt good because the hummus was bitter and the rest was nothing special. The döner tastet okay but there were some hairs in the food (cat hairs), so it wasnt nice.... wouldnt recommend it because its quite expensive tough. Check out 'vegan istanbul' its the best place to eat in istanbul!!!!
