Mamma Mia 🤤😵😵 - Edit
Very, very delicious. Dangerously delicious. Had pierogi (~Polish dumplings) with a heavenly sauce and filling. Also had beetroot soup with a filled croquet. As a side, polish pickle.
Read moreExtremely delicious dessert - apple pie with pear sorbet. Turkish coffee with cardamom as a finnish
The only hope: just don’t get too popular so I can visit again, and pleae, please never ”chainify” with what I mean that the place would loose it’s soul and not be able to keep the standard it has achieved now. Because now it is just perfect. #Veganuary

Suuuper lecker! - Edit

Loved this place - Edit
I came here a couple of times during my trip to Warsaw, was really impressed. It was relatively quiet compared to the packed vegan ramen place a few doors up but in my opinion people are missing out if they skip this place.
Read moreWell-located on the main drag, the young lady working here was extremely friendly and spoke great English. Their broth with dumplings was a perfect starter. For mains, first time I had the schnitzel and second time I had the chicken kiev. Honestly, both were slightly overcooked for my taste and a little too cripsy to the point of being almost tough, but I don't want to deduct a star for that because they still tasted great. The sides - potatoes, dumplings, and cabbage - were all excellent.
Overall I really liked this place and highly recommend it!

Inside Falla - Edit
Hard to find - inside Falla. Loved the beet soup. Generous portions for the schnitzel plate (which I didn’t love, but that’s more of a personal preference than reflection on the quality of the food).

Fantastic - Edit
It was a little tricky to find, but it’s basically operating out of Falla, a Middle Eastern restaurant. When you receive the menu, flip to the back pages to find Vegan Friends Kitchen items. I asked the server whether she preferred the minced meat cutlets or the soy cutlets in sauce, and she recommended the latter. I enjoyed it very much and washed it down with a cup of homemade compote, which was filled with fruit. I munched on the fruit from the compote while devouring the blueberry dumplings with sour cream. You can’t get more Polish comfort food than this (except maybe at Wege Polka)!

The Kiev chicken was a pleasure! Paired with the cucumber salad and the Silesian dumplings it was just a comfort meal for me. They have Kompot on the menu which I loved. Go try some!

Several (but not many) vegan versions of Polish food. The menu is not huge but ok, the food itself is pretty good and tasty. Portions are adequate. They do not always report the meat replacement😒note: it is the same place of "Falla".

Good polish food - Edit
They offer vegan “meat” options with different sides. You can select between different potato-sides (mash, dumplings, …) and vegetable sides (pickled cucumbers, cucumber salad, …).
Read moreIf you don’t know that much about polish food, it might be advisable to ask what makes the best combination, e.g. the dumplings go well with dishes that have sauce, but the kiev style chicken cutlet might be better with mash (I think).

Great for veganized Polish food! - Edit
There’s two menus - one with falafel, burgers etc and one with vegan versions of Polish food! We weren’t massively hungry so opted for soups and both were great. Tempted to go back for a bigger meal!

A veganized version of my childhood - Edit
This place checked all of the boxes for me in regards to finding Polish comfort food on our visit to Warsaw. The schnizel had a great texture and crisp to it, and the soy cutlets were soft and a little chewy (but in a good way). The sauce and cream with soy cutlets were very flavorful. There are a variety of sides to choose from for the main dishes, and all were winners for us. Mashed potatoes were the right kind of creamy, and the Silesian dumplings were soft pillows of dough.
Read moreMy only complaint is that the potato pancakes were tremendously fried more than I have ever experienced, and were very very oily. The vegan sour cream was on point, and this satisfied a craving for potato pancakes I had had since we arrived, but the potato pancakes themselves were quite heavy.
Pros: Veganized traditional Polish food

Great traditional Polish food - Edit
I am no Central/Eastern European guru, so don’t quote me on the statements about this place’s traditionality, but I got borscht and a roulade with Silesian dumplings and sautéed beets, which sounded, looked, and tasted very much traditional! I wish every city had a restaurant like this. I paid some 53PLN and left the place a little too full, so the amount and quality of the food for the price was certainly worth it.

Really surprised by this place - in a good way. Racuchy we're very crunchy and great flavour. Good value for money. Kompot exactly as I remember it. Will be back!

After trying some of their savoury dishes I wasn't that impressed. The textures were a bit off and there wasn't that much flavour. Zrazy was probably the best of all the dishes.
