Great Vegan Deli - Edit
Really impressive selection of vegan substitutes and delicacies including the hard to find juicy marbles and some niche ‘seafood’ products I had never seen before. I also received a suggestion to make a risotto using the ‘salmon’ spread I bought and it was incredible so thank you for that.

They have a lot of vegan products and specially Italian like vegan stuff such as pasta, different types of cheese, etc. also they offer some stuff to take away like aranccini, ravioli, tiramisu, etc. And the girl managing the store is suuuper friendly!

We loved this place. Lovely warm welcome. Finally found lovely vegan cannoli, which the lady filled in front of us, we also bought a variety of Biscotti, meringues, vegan salami etc. We would have bought way more if we were staying closer or were self catering. She also gave my son a free easter egg that had broken. Great place.

Fantastic store with vast array of vegan cheeses and meats. Lovely, warm and welcoming staff who were as helpful as can be. Not only a store, but it also has a counter of fresh food, including stuffed arancini, which was delicious.

Amazing Deli and Great Service - Edit
If you're going to Rome as a vegan cooking at home is a little uninspiring because the local supermarkets aren't really set up for vegans. This place is the antidote. Amazing artisan cheese and meats. My wife says the blue cheese is the best she's ever had and the mushroom gorgonzola was an incredible umami experience. Go early in your trip because you'll want to come back.

Small vegan oasis in the middle of the market - Edit
Fully vegan stall in the middle of the Testaccio market chock full of all kinds of vegan products. The small shop is overflowing with food, cooking supplies, care products and pretty much everything you can imagine. They had a small selection of fresh toasts and vegan suppli when we visited. We tasted their mozzarella & tomato toast and it was very tasty. Very friendly staff and definitely worth a visit in an otherwise very “meat heavy” market.

There is no way to describe how special this place is. Barbara is a beautiful soul who welcomes everyone as if into her own home. You be made to feel like you have returned home! She has created the most beautiful vegan oasis within a market environment where cruelty to animals is celebrated. All vegans will admire how she maintains such effusive passion as an activist and her generous spirit as a human. She has curated a real Aladdin’s cave of treasures-you will want to try them all! I went home fully stocked with all kinds of treats which she selected and recommended including vegan cheeses and meats, and had some of her delicious homemade delicacies in store.

I knew I would be back to visit this store soon and could not stay away- I am Irish but I’m back to stay in Testaccio and will update the review in a few days!
I second others in saying there is no other vegan establishment in the world that is like this and as you see in my case, you will have to travel back to Rome for it! All vegans must add this to their itinerary (for example you can also visit the Orange Garden, keyhole, Bocca della verità and Pyramid of Caius Cestius in the Testaccio area) and she deserves all the support possible in her angelic work.
Pros: The most wonderful owner you will ever meet , Vast well-selected and/or homemade products, No other place like it in the world
Cons: You will have to come back to Rome for it!

Lots of great vegan restaurants in Rome but if need some vegan meals or snacks to hold you over, Barbara has you covered! This place has tons of vegan meats and cheeses and ready to eat meals (they even had a big tube of fresh mortadella they sliced with a deli slicer when we were there!!). Absolutely check them out.

Un gioiello che luccica ed emana amore tra banchi più o meno anonimi o decisamente tristi (come i macellai e i pescivendoli vicini) di un mercato.

Wonderland of vegan food! - Edit
We came here on our last day in Rome and I would live to regret not coming sooner. It was the BEST food in Rome.
Read moreWe got the mortadella and cheese on focaccia type bread. It looked very simple, but OMG the mortadella was TASTY, and the bread was soft and fresh.
Barbara the owner is SO lovely, she gave tips on what desserts to get (we got the last tiramisu in stock! she said we were lucky because it's really good, and it was true, it was absolutely DELICIOUS, great thick cream texture, and great coffee flavour. She also recommended the chocolate orange swiss roll, and that was also DELICIOUS, very well balanced sweetness level, and perfectly soft sponge.
Barbara was cutting up some camembert for another customer (sold by weight), and gave me some to try. I wasn't going to at first, as I'm not the biggest cheese lover, but it was SO good and creamy, I bought a piece. I had it later on with some pizza and it elevated it.
I also bought a sea cocktail salad, which was very tasty, and very reminiscent of the seafood cocktail salads I had pre-vegan days.
Barbara has really curated a wonderful array of delicious foods. There is fresh food and lots of grocery items, perfect for taking to picnics or on trains etc.
Barbara is so friendly, she gave us tips on Rome, and is a very interesting person to talk to about life.
This place is worth going back to Rome for.

Tons of vegan foods, including a wide variety of vegan cheeses. Also has fried vegan mozzarella and fried olives stuffed with seitan, both were yummy. The owner Barbara is super friendly and helpful.

I've been in other good vegan places in Rome but sadly I've noticed that all the other groceries were just a bad version of the Vegan store and the owners were rude and not even vegan!!!!
No doubts she's doing it FOR THE ANIMALS AND FOR ETHICAL REASONS!
She's first of all an activist and that's why her place IS IN THE MARKET WHERE EVERYBODY DOES FISH AND MEAT with this awful and ignorant people.
She's there fighting everyday for the animals, and she's so welcoming and patient with her small place that's filled with everything you could possibly find and desire, all the brand she sells are vegan and ethical, for the people and the animals
You won't find another place like this in the world!!
You need to support places like this!

I have been travelling around Italy for a month so far, this is the best place i have encountered yet. Tiny little cube of a shop stuffed to the brim (and spilling out!) with all sorts of vegan goods made in Italy, Europe, and elsewhere around the world. The owner, though I interacted with her for barely any time at all, has a very welcoming and warm personality, it was as though i knew her forever. That alone has me wanting to return.

Wonderful Little Corner of an Otherwise Mediocre Market, With an Exceptional Owner - Edit
Stall 83 was absolutely packed with everything a vegan could want, from takeout desserts(I would recommend the little pot of tiramisu) and mixed croissants, to fresh salami, Gorgonzola and ham substitutes but the most appealing part was the owner. I didn't catch her name but I've never met someone who was so enthusiastic and engaging about her passion, she clearly loves what she does and wants to support other vegans too!

A little shop in Rome where you can find a lot of choice, they don't make food anymore but with the guide of the owner, I bought some vegan meat and cheeses, all so good! I even bought some amazing chocolate cookies. I recommend this place and I will definitely come back if I'll visit Rome again!

Amazing selection of vegan cheeses and "salami" - the proprietor gave us so many generous samples of the most exquisite craft foods! Wish I'd asked her name. Bought "gorgonzola" style cheese which we used in a recipe she suggested of raddichio and walnuts, it was fabulous. Really worth making the journey out to Testaccio, though juxtapositioning of the enormous abandoned abattoire rather sobering. . .
