Incredible creative vegan sushi - Edit
This restaurant has only been open for a few weeks so it didn’t come up when I was planning 2 months ago. Fortunately we were looking at places close to our hotel on Happy Cow and found it. You can order an 8, 10 or 12 course tasting menu. We got the 10 course and it was fabulous. So creative and delicious!! Highly recommend. The place is tiny and requires reservations. We were able to get a reservation the same day but two different people walked in hoping to be served and he had to turn them away. You will see why when you go. It is a very intimate dining experience with your party and the chef. As you enjoy a course, he prepares the next course. Don’t miss this one! In Shinjuku. Very close to Godzilla head.

So Tasty and enjoyable - Edit

Tiny restaurant. We had the futures menu and it was all excellent. Exceeded expectations. Make a reservation! Be prepared for a long dining experience (3 hours for us)

Small sushi course restaurant - Edit
Very happy to have sushi options which actually look like sushi (not just a vegetable on a piece of rice). The appearance was very impressive. The pumpkin and tofu based tamagoyaki was delicious and the tempura was crispy. The gunkan sushi was the most flavourful. The “salmon” and “tuna” nigiri sushi, unfortunately for me, while they had impressive appearance didn’t really taste like much.
Read moreThe staff was very friendly.
The restaurant itself could use some improving on ambience itself, as there is no decor, just white tile walls and 8 counter seats. That being said the restaurant is new, so I hope to see these things being improved on over time.

Pros: Different flavours
Cons: Small restaurant , Could improve ambience, Nigiri sushi doesn’t have much flavour

Just wow - but make a reservation! - Edit
Found this online and made a reservation for 5.30pm which was so lucky as it’s a hole in the wall with only 8 seats and we watched so many people get turned away when they walked in. It’s one chef and the food is magic. We spent almost 4.5 hours there but just watching him make it and then our enjoyment of all 12 course made this a once in a lifetime experience. Our family loved everything!!

Absolutely loved this place! - Edit
Everything was delicious and the menu was really well thought out.
Read moreI had the “Flower and Ocean Vegan” menu and left completely satisfied. The chef was very kind and introduced every dish as it was served. There’s also a booklet with explanations in English for the whole menu, which was really helpful.
The tasting menu does take some time, as the dishes are prepared and served one at a time, but everything is made with so much care that it’s definitely worth taking your time and enjoying the experience. You can also order à la carte.
My favourites were the pumpkin dashimaki rolled omelet, the mushroom nigiri and the plant-based otoro nigiri with vegan foie gras — but honestly, everything was delicious!
The restaurant is quite small, but I went for dinner, arrived pretty late, and managed to get a seat without a reservation. It’s also open until quite late, which was a big plus.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for creative and delicious vegan sushi in Tokyo! 🌱

Excellent Food, Great Experience as a Tourist - Edit
Went as an American tourist and really enjoyed my stop in here. The food is incredible and the menu explains each dish in English. The longer course meals take about an hour to prepare and eat but there are à la carte items in the back of the if you’re there for a quick bite. Seating is very limited and the entrance is in the alley- fun adventure and excellent food!

The best meal we had in Japan - Edit
This was the best restaurant of our trip to japan. We were 3 weeks in Japan and traveled all over the country but it was difficult to find authentic vegan sushi. This place absolutely delivered. Located in a small backstreet and woth a karaoke bar on above the meals were crafted with care and and love and absolutely delicious. Ranging from vegan squid, salmon, tuna to foie gras sushi and eel (all vegan) we had the big coarse and we cant recommend it enough. Bring time though since the serving might take 1-2 hours.

Great vegan experience! - Edit
Fully vegan sushi providing exciting new flavours and textures. Relaxed and very casual atmosphere with the craft in focus. Set menu with 4 different menu options differing in scope. Highly recommend! Not possible to book in advance and just a few seats available.

Carefully prepared and tasty food - Edit
A great vegan option and super near to Hotel Gracery Shinjuku (hotel with the Godzilla head on top). English menus are available at the front and the chef kindly explained each dish. That man literally has every job in the restaurant and he works HARD. This is not a fast meal (chef told us it'd take about 90 mins and we went over that) but it's a cool experience I'm glad to have had on my trip to Japan. The price may seem high but I think it's more than fair based on all the work the chef does on top of the excellent quality and variety of ingredients.
Read moreWe got the light course menu. I especially loved the pumpkin "omelet" and the ice cream trio at the end. The nigiri was also very good and had some flavors I've never tried before. The asparagus one, red pepper one, and most of the mushroom ones were so good. Some were not my cup of tea but I still appreciated how creative and carefully prepared they were. For instance, I did not like this one as much but my partner's favorite was the "squid" sushi made with nata de coco.
Also they have a mix of different items they use for the tempura course. So I got to try ginger tempura (SO good) and I'm so curious about their strawberry tempura.
Pros: The pumpkin omelet, Ice cream trio, Great chef

Unique experience with Vegan Sushi - Edit
It was a unique experience to eat vegan sushi in Tokyo. The place is very tiny and hard to find (you need to enter a side road). Once inside you can select among 4 menus. The chef will prepare each plate in front of you. Good ingredients and care, sounded like a gourmet experience. The food did not quite meet my taste, but I reckon is a personal issue. Price is very high, but I think it is worthy
