Not open at stated hours

We trekked hills to visit this restaurant only to find they were not open at their listed opening time of 6pm. The place was locked tight, with gates and padlocks so we weren’t even sure if they were still in business.

Pros: Unknown

Cons: Not open at stated time online, No hours posted on the door, Hilly climb to get there

It did the job

We attempted to visit another sushi spot but due to the June weekend festivities the sushi spot was closed on weekends in June.

So we came here.
Miso soup which I didn’t get a photo of was mid. A lot of seaweed in it for sure. The chefs special roll was okay. We ate it all. There was mango in it which gives it that sweetness that I’m naturally not a fan of but they had mango in so many rolls.

Place wasn’t busy when we arrive closer to 8:30pm but the service was still pretty slow. We didn’t mind as we weren’t in a rush but considering it wasn’t busy at all. Like only people there it did feel like they forgot about us while staring at us lol 😆

I didn’t give 4 stars because they also serve Pizza there with no vegan pizza options at all. So having vegan sushi and non vegan pizza at the same exact location was a bummer and something to note if your not a fan of sitting next to meat eaters

Good sushi

We visited this small vegan sushi restaurant as a group of four friends and had a nice overall experience. The place itself is quite modest and not particularly stylish, but it has a cozy, casual feel.

The service was friendly and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable right away. The only downside was that our order took a bit longer than expected to arrive. However, once the food came, it was absolutely worth the wait — the sushi was fresh, creative, and really delicious.

If you’re looking for great vegan sushi and don’t mind a simple setting or a bit of a wait, this spot is definitely worth trying.

O melhor

Pros: Variedade, Sabores

Cons: Preços

Amazing!!!!

I don’t know why I waited so long to come here. Everything was incredible! I recommend getting one of the sushi boats so that you can try a bit of everything. Nicely done!

No longer fully vegan

We went at 1:20pm on a Wednesday and they said the vegan sushi wasn’t available until the evening. They sell non vegan food as well. It looks like it’s not just a vegan menu within a non vegan place. I don’t know if it becomes fully vegan at night but it is definitely not in the day time.

Good for a sushi fix

I might be a bit biased, given my Japanese roots, but I found the place a bit inappropriate for sushi. Don't get me wrong, the owner is super friendly and the menu is quite extensive with plenty of amazing options, but it felt a bit amateurish to me. The makis were filled with too much rice, which felt super dense, and the cut very imprecise.

I really liked the gyozas (already gluten-free, which is rare) and it was interesting to see some flavours like pineapple and orange in sushi... We didn't like the selection from the set menu so we ordered several things separately, it didn't set my world on fire but it did the job.

As per desserts, I wouldn't bother with the mochis. They were just not good, it felt like they've been waiting there for a bit too long.

Amazing Find

I really miss sushi since going vegan. What a great surprise to find this little hole in the wall. The food was really tasty with a good variety of flavors at a reasonable price.

Pros: excellent food, good value

WOW!!! More Than Just Sushi Here…!!! 😄

On a recent stroll through the Principe Real neighborhood of Lisboa we came upon Vegan Sushi House. What an eye-opening discovery it was! I've loved sushi practically my whole life (especially having been born/raised in Hawaii where Japanese food is like McDonald's in its ubiquity), and have had a number of beautifully presented "sushi boats" at what used to be my favorite haunt in Wilton Manors, FL. That said, I've never seen vegan sushi boats like they serve at this little hole-in-the-wall! Naturally, there was no way we were going to pass this place up...!

On our first visit, we got there just as they were opening for dinner, so we chose to sit alfresco to give the owner a bit of time to organize the inside--we weren't in any rush. Sadly, there's no alcohol here; but, we were OK to start with a couple of Cokes. We decided to simply share the sushi vegan "boat" of 30 pieces, with a side of some "shrimp" pieces for heck of it. Let me say that the arrival of the sushi boat made us go, "OH, WOW!!!" May I also say that as we began eating, we were, "OH, YUM!!!" The variety of sushi pieces were awesome--all were special and amazing in flavors! We were so impressed by our boat, we returned the next afternoon for lunch. This second time around, on a very brisk afternoon, I decided to start with a bowl of miso soup (loaded with goodness!), and end with an order of the tofu yakisoba (I LOVE noodles and this dish was so, so very good!). (My other-half did the poké bowl and loved it.)

The bottom line: You don't need to be vegan/plant-based to absolutely love Vegan Sushi House because the menu and preparation is simply a terrific! GO!!!

Pros: Food!, Service, Location

Must Try!!

To my astonishment, I discovered a vegan sushi restaurant. It is an unexpected revelation. The Vegan Sushi House boasts an extensive menu featuring a diverse array of sushi and poke bowls.
During our initial visit, we opted for the Sushi Boat, which includes an impressive thirty pieces of sushi. The selection includes sashimi salmon, nigiri shrimp, Anna’s maki, spring maki, sprint sweet roll, jack spicy, lombardomaki, and orange maki. Notably, all these delectable pieces were expertly crafted and presented for an affordable price of less than €23.
We were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional quality and taste of each piece. Consequently, we anticipate making this establishment a regular destination for our lunch and dinner meals during our stay in Lisbon.

Pros: Price, Variety

Cons: No Alcohol

Amazing sushi

Small place but with amazing food.
The taste is all there for me; and there are some wild combinations that work well.
Definitely a place to go to and have a good meal with friends.
The staff is friendly and the place is very calm.

Shame there is no outside seating, but considering the location, that is quite impossible.

Pros: Good taste in food, Friendly staff

Cons: No outside seating

a big disappointment…

after reading the wonderful reviews we decided to try this place and it was a terrible experience... we ordered a mixed sushi menu which was also supposed to have some special sushi, but there were 4 pieces of these and the rest were all sushi with inside very sweet fruit and some were so terrible that we had to throw them away which we hate doing and rather always try to finish. they don't indicate what's inside these boxes and they arrive with all kinds of ingredients inside, not giving you the chance to understand if they actually are flavors that you might like or not.

I absolutely don't recommend it to people who hate fruit in sushi and tastes that are too sweet. the sushi with fake fish inside were very good, too bad there were 2 of them. 😅

I gave two stars instead of 1 because the sushi with the fake fish was very good.

Pros: sushi with fake fish

Cons: everything except sushi with fake fish

Vegan amazing sushi

Recomendo.

Good sushi

Miso soup was probably my favourite, but other food is also very good.
I never had fried dumplings, so i had to try them. Big like.
They ran out of mochi, the only flavour left was tiramisu - wierd [censored]😀
Sushi was very good. 20psc is more then enough for 2 people.

Various affordable options

I have found the sushi quite sweet to my taste, although it is delicious. I would appreciate to taste the other ingredients. They have various options from gyozas to miso soup to desserts and of course sushi. The atmosphere is not the best as a restaurant but the staff is friendly. They only accept cash payments.

Unbelievable vegan sushi

So unbelievable that I had to ask the waiter whether the food was all vegan, even though the name of the restaurant speaks for itself!
Truly amazing vegan sushi at a very honest price. The fresh fruit smoothies were also excellent.
Despite the modest appearance of the restaurant, the food is delicious and the staff very friendly. Absolutely to be repeated!
