Ok we went here last night and this wasn’t just the best food we’ve had here in Athens so far…potentially one of the best meals we’ve EVER had! We ordered far too much but hey, we weren’t complaining (and took our leftovers home) but we had an incredible mezze sharing platter to start, then the pesto pizza and souvlaki. It was just out of this world (Greek food is one of our favourite cuisines to be fair) so we are definitely returning again before the end of our trip! Thank you!!

It serves vegan tzatziki and Greek salad with homemade feta!!!, souvlaki, gyros and many other delicious meals. We went to Veganaki both for dinner and breakfast and it was amazing! Even though it’s kind of easy find vegan option for lunch and dinner, we found out that breakfast it’s so difficult to eat vegan here in Athens! This places saved our breakfasts!

Oh my goodness my boyfriend and I loved this place! It was so good we ended up going three times while we were in Athens! The pastitsio is just like the original version. Absolutely amazing and I wish that this place was in the United States!

So many options - all vegan AND gluten free. It’s amazing being able to eat traditional cuisine that’s vegan. We got the souvlaki wraps and came back twice for them again. Amazing options, food and service. This place alone has me considering moving to Athens 😂 So tasty!

Fave vegan spot in Athens - Edit
I went here nearly every day when I was in Athens! I tried many vegan spots in the city but I kept going back here specifically. I wanted to be able to try as many vegan Greek dishes as possible and Veganaki had soooo many plant based (and gluten free) options for tourists to try. The prices are a little bit high compared to other vegan spots but they have WiFi, AC inside, and good service so it’s an experience.

We had an incredible meal at veganaki - staff were wonderful, atmosphere was lovely and the food was top quality. We made the mistake of ordering way too much food (after being convinced to try the appetizer plate), but we powered through because it tasted just so good!
Read moreWould highly recommend getting the appetizer plate and maybe an extra side of pita between two people as the whole meal- the hummus, cheeses and tzatziki in particular were out of this world.
We also tried the falafel and soutzoukakia (meatball) wrap. Will be going back again to enjoy them properly though, because we were so full from the appetizer plate!
(We went back and tried their moussaka and soya souvlaki and it was still amazing!)

We left going to Veganaki until our last day in Athens! Big mistake otherwise we would definitely have been back. We had the most amazing appetizer sharing platter, it was 22 euros but worth every penny! It was a lot for three of us (but we managed to finish every bit it was so delicous!). We also ordered two main courses which were also delicious but the appetizer sharing plate was stunning!

The pizza was so amazing especially the Greek pizza, so authentic and yum. Great vegan cheese! Staff were very friendly. Not the cheapest but definitely worth it - it’s not expensive.

Best veganized traditional Greek food - Edit
I had my best meal here during my 10 days trip to Greece. I had amazing vegan gourmet food at other places, but I missed the food at Veganaki during the rest of my trip anyway. The food is simple but delicious (tzatziki, roasted potatoes, fresh vegetables, olives etc.) and portion sizes are generous with good protein sources.
