Nothing vegan

Only had rice as a vegan option when I arrived. They hadn’t run out of other options, they just hadn’t made any.

Cons: Nothing vegan

Everything in one

The people are so sweet here! 🥹 You walk into a cute store first& upstairs in the restaurant. Big part is vegetarian.

Pros: sweet people 🫶🏻

Very Good and Filling

The price is excellent (especially for this part of Prague) and the food was very tasty. The food is perfect for vegetarians, but it seems that vegan options are a bit more limited. The menu of the day seems to be vegan only on certain days from what I could tell. Calm atmosphere and nice staff.

Pros: Good prices, Nice staff

Super good daily menu for a good price

In the centre of Prague, so nice :)
So recomendable to VEGETARIAN people, because they are cooking most of the dishes with cheese, cream, etc.

Nothing vegan

Good for vegetarians I guess but when we asked if they had anything vegan, the staff informed us that everything had cream or cheese in and couldn't be made vegan except for a plain rice.

Cons: no vegan options

Best ever 😋😋

This is very unique restaurant. I am highly recommend to everyone. It is vegetarian with vegan option as well.People here are very friendly. Atmosphere is full of Krishna meditation. Food serve here is healthy also spiritually. You can visit also every Wednesday from 6pm small program here and ask about thair teaching and chant mantras. You can buy book about meditation etc....But the food is so good 😋😋, be careful you can get addiction to this food😂.

Pros: Vegan option

Good for a casual lunch

The place was sympathetic but not very easy to find. The food was nice and simple Indian food, and you could choose either a small or a big portion of the day's meal. I went for the small one and it turned out to be plenty. I also enjoyed a luscious little nougat cake for afters, definitely recommend.

Pros: good food, inexpensive, big portions

Cons: a bit difficult to spot, only one option for lunch

Govinda

I had read about this place on happycow, and here's my Vegetariansky Klub Govinda review.

The location is easy to find and not far from the Old Square. Restaurant a good range of food choices and taste is all right. Good for a causal or fast meal.

There is also a shop next door that sells some vegetarian products, and a another shop a few doors to the left where you can buy tempeh, tofu, and soy products.

Standard Hare Krishna

As usual - big portion and small portion. I like it since I don't like to ask about the size of particular position in the menu. Also it looks lovely inside.

Pros: Cheap, Tasty, Peaceful place

Cons: A bit far from the city centre

Typical Govinda's Experience

Nice place run in the traditional Govinda style. All the food is ready and on display, you ask for what you want, they serve it over the counter and you sit down and whip it down in non too fashionable surroundings. But hey, it's good and I'd go back. I wondered why the place was packed at about 4:30 pm, then I read the signs and kind of guessed that after 4:30 all food is 1/2 price which is a complete and utter bargain. Good luck to Govinda's, they do a great job and cater for everyone's veggie food needs during the day.

Pros: cheap, friendly

Cons: basic

Govinda

After walking quite a while the restaurant was closed at a time when it was supposed to be open. Went to Country Life instead which is just off of the main square and was lovely.

Cons: Too far from main square

Slop--literally

I am a vegan and I lived right across from Govinda's for a year, but only ate there once. The one time I went, I got some strange slop that seemed like breadcrumbs in sour cream. Vegan items were not labeled on menu, so ask!
You would be better off spending a little more at Albio across the street or heading to Tynska in Old Town for much better food at Beas.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Quality
