Not vegan friendly - Edit
Velvet Taco makes it crazy hard to eat vegan. Butter in the flour tortillas… why?? Ug. Once you doctor things up to make vegan they are not tasty.
Read moreThere are many mom and pop places and other places nearby (like MiDia and Torchys) that are considerably more vegan friendly - don’t waste your time with this one.

Rotating Specials - Edit
Velvet Taco has at least three regular menu items that are vegetarian that can be easily made vegan. However I like that they also have a rotating special taco, usually with a vegetarian/vegan option. I can’t remember the name of the special taco I ordered but it was portobello mushroom based. It was good, not great.
