The entire menu is vegan. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and soup of the day. I also took home some pastries. All of it was excellent. The staff is friendly and puts you at ease. Will definitely return!

We came to Wild Chestnut for breakfast this morning, on the neverending hunt for vegan safe breakfasts. It was indeed impressive -- and all vegan! I had the bacon, egg and avo English muffin Sammie, and it was splendid. The mildly spicy sauce on it was a great touch that really elevated the sammie. I will definitely be back.

We are so excited to try Wild Chestnut Cafe when we visited the Northampton area and it did not disappoint! It was delicious food and great atmosphere. We highly recommend this awesome cafe. And the staff were so friendly. It is our new favorite place.

Wild Chestnut Cafe is lovely and delicious! My family visited on our weekend trip to Northampton- a little hard for us to find as the entrance is in a parking lot and there is no signage from the street. We ordered coffees, smoothies, sandwiches, salads, soups, and pastries. Everything was great! The housemade bread for sandwiches is worth a visit alone- thick slices of pillowy soft pumpkin sweet oat bread! Cinnamon rolls, muffins, cookies, and peanut butter bombs were all amazing. Lots of space to sit and enjoy your meal, perhaps accompanied by some piano playing if you're as lucky as we were!

The food is incredible. Their sandwiches are served on delicious fresh homemade bread in big generous slices loaded with veggie goodness. We had the avocado sandwich and the chickpea sandwich and were blown away how good the food was. The sandwiches are nice and big and loaded with fresh healthy ingredients. For dessert we had the homemade cupcakes - strawberry frosting on chocolate or yellow cake at the staff recommendation and we were not disappointed. So freaking good, just eat here and you’ll be happy! Lots of great bottles beverage selections too like kombucha or healthier soda choices.

Best muffins anywhere--vegan or otherwise. Fresh salads and sandwiches on house-baked bread. Tasty soups come with a slab of the bread. Try the TLT (tempeh lettuce tomato) sandwich. Love this place.

We are so happy that these folks reopened the old Cafe Evolution. Nice and clean updates to the interior. Menu is simple but hughley satisfying. And how lovely that they spotlight a group dedicated to providing support to animals and 3donate proceeds to that group. We purchased a carrot cake cupcake with part of the proceeds going to Western Massachusetts Rabbit Rescue. ❤❤❤

The re-evolution of a great space - Edit
Vegan activist owners Missy and Rosalie have rebooted what used to be the vegan Cafe Evolution, bringing a new menu and much needed new energy to the space.
Read moreThe bakery case looks similar, with cupcakes, cookies and muffins, but I am told it is all new recipes. They are slowly introducing savory items, today I enjoyed an eggplant parm sandwich that was perfect.
Coffee is still amazing and there are about 7 vegan milks and creamers to choose from, plus espresso drinks.
Pros: All vegan!, Coffee and bakery items are delicious, Savory sandwiches, soups and salads also yum!
