Brunch

Have been to this bakery many times for bread, sandwiches and cakes which are always amazing. They have introduced a brunch menu which we have had twice now. The first visit we had the home made tofu bacon buttie and the grilled cheese focaccia. This time we both had the shakshuka. All the dishes we’ve tried have been delicious, the shakshuka in particular was so tasty and although they do offer bottomless bread with it we didn’t ask for more as the dish was really filling. The service is always friendly and the coffee is really good too. But the cakes…..🥰

Pros: Haven’t had anything I didn’t like!, Dog friendly and sell home baked dog biscuit, 100% vegan

Wilhelmina

This bakery and café offers an impressive range of vegan treats and is clearly popular — there was a steady stream of customers during my breakfast visit.

I tried the mushroom bread and butter pudding, which unfortunately wasn’t to my personal taste. More importantly though, the sauce had curdled and largely dried out, and the centre of the dish was quite cold, which is why I’m giving 4 stars rather than 5.

However, the pastries were absolutely delicious and made up for the main dish. Service was a little disorganised — I waited quite a while to place my order — but the staff were friendly and helpful.

Excellent

All vegan bakery. Lots of choice with a variety of cakes and pastries. Didn’t try much as we’d just eaten and dropped on this place, however the cookie dough cheesecake muffin was so good.

Their pastries are delicious - almond croissants, berry, pain au chocs, they've got a great range. They also do some great sandwiches for £5 and you can get a soup and sandwich deal for £8 too.

Pros: Pastries are fab, Great for breakfast and lunch, All vegan

Great vegan croissants and cakes, their sourdough bread is also incredible, wish it was open longer as I don't manage to get there very often!

Amazing!!

I’ve been wanting to come here for ages but I’m wheat intolerant and was trying to resist 😅 Anyway today I gave in and honestly it’ll be worth the pain as the pastries are AMAZING. Dream come true to eat proper bakery-made croissants again!

Pros: Incredible pastries, Friendly staff, Fully vegan

Cute small caffee

I like small vegan coffee and restaurants. It’s cute place with nice atmosphere 😉, nice staff and a lot of home made vegan pastries. 🥐 I definitely love this place.
There are also about 4 table and you can seat inside, not only to take away …

Pros: smal vegan place, nice staff , a lot of ready to eat vegan pastries

Small bakery cafe, hidden away but worth a visit

Haddie & Trilby was once a popular bakery that had queues going down the street. In those days it used to sell all sorts, (ie non vegan), hosting pizza nights and bakery classes.

They have undergone a bit of a transition, relocating their business to be closer to town, and renaming it to Wilhelmina (the third of the trio of famous Leamington elephants https://leamingtonhistory.co.uk/sam-lockhart-elephant-trainer-extraordinaire), and importantly, transitioning to being completely plant-based, along with the owner, George.

They now collaborate with CORE (the local sustainable/vegan/organic zero waste shop down the road) by bringing in their local organic ingredients and turning them into delicious sandwiches and soups, and make a wonderful range of desserts. They bake croissants and other patisserie delights in their kitchens downstairs, and sell fresh sourdough bread (which currently is bought in from another local business, whilst they figure out how to squeeze their bread oven into the new venue)

Their made trade is takeaway, but there are a few tables inside if you want to eat the food indoors. They don't use ceramics though, so you'll still be drinking out of a paper cup, and eating off of a cardboard tray, but its still a nice place to sit, if a bit small, but the smell of the kitchens baking is mouthwatering.

Pros: Freshly made cakes, biscuits, sandwiches, Utilizing food from CORE, supporting each other, Friendly welcoming staff

Cons: Bread isn't baked in house, Venue is a little small for sitting in
