A Longstanding Stalwart - Edit
Lovely little wholefoods shop on Aigburth Rd, opposite Lark Lane - think smaller-scale Purple Carrot with a large range of organic fresh produce, plus locally produced jams (vegan), and local cheeses and honey for the veggies. This is where you'd buy tofu and seitan before supermarkets knew what 'vegan' meant! Big Suma range. If you want something they don't stock, they'll order it for you, including bulk sizes. Has a chiller, and a refill station for laundry/cleaning products. I've been getting their organic veg box for 3 years, which can be delivered by cargo bicycle if you live with a certain distance of the shop (I'm almost 4km away so they go reasonably far). The fruit & veg is outstanding, always super-fresh and mostly seasonal and local, with some very interesting 'You wouldn't find this in T*sco!' additions most weeks. Also, it's a workers' co-op and the staff are absolutely wonderful!

lovely little store! - Edit
lovely shop with organic and vegan products available. They don't have a lot of variety since its pretty small, but it comes in handy if you don't have time to go to a big one!

Windmill Organics, Liverpool - Edit
I love this place. Its a workers co-operative, sells vegan and veggie foods and has a a really nice vibe.
Read moreHowever, it seems to have struggled a bit since moving from Smithdown Rd to Aigburth Rd. I shop in there when finances allow (skint at the moment) and would urge any veggies/vegans (or anyone else for that matter!) to support this very important shop.
Pros: Meat free, Workers Co-Operative, Friendly staff

Windmill Organic Wholefood Co-op, Liverpool - Edit
As a vegan veggie now living in Liverpool I used to shop here all the time. However since its moved to Aigburth Road, it doesn't have the same handiness for where I live. Despite the move I still venture over now and again and always leave with a positive impression.
Read moreIts run by a workers cooperative. There's a decent of choice of all kinds of organic and vegetarian food (fresh, frozen, chilled, tinned, dried etc etc), toiletries, household products, aromatherapy oil, soft drinks, beer, wine etc. Staff are very helpful. In my humble opinion it's the best of the health food shops in Liverpool that I have been to so far.
See their website for more info.
Its only a few mins walk from St Michaels Station and also near Lark Lane and the cafes there (eg Green Days) if venturing there. The Aigburth Road location has a bit more space than the old venue. Staff are as helpful as ever.

Could be better, but near Penny Lane - Edit
Parking is not easy. You might be able to park across the intersection on the left. We ended up idling nearby while one of us ran into to grab a selection of vegan snacks for the road trip. Not much! Spent 20 minutes looking and only found rice cakes & soy pudding :( more of your produce place.
