Chill nerdy vibe - Edit
Had a super yummy seasonal special ice tea lemonade called the rainbow bright. It was nice, but the 80’s theming is what really makes this place cool.

One of the best tea lattes I have ever had. It was called the ghostly trio. Cool atmosphere.

I'm impressed - Edit
A perfect vanilla, soy latte and really good vegan donuts. I'm adding this place to my list of favorites in Chicago.

Best Coffeehouse in Chicago - Edit
Wicker Park is my favorite neighborhood in Chicago and Wormhole is my favorite coffeehouse in my fave neighborhood. Their coffee and espresso drinks are extraordinary. Yes, better than even Starbucks for all you Starbie fans. They use Metropolis Coffee as their bean provider - a local Chicago roaster. They serve vegan treats from Fritz Pastry. One thing they do better than Fritz Pastry is they label their desserts as vegan (Fritz does not). No more stealth vegan bakery items, they're loud and proud!
Read moreThey recycle and now also compost (put cups, paper coffee grounds in the bus bins not the trash). Their to-go containers are made from compostable, non-petroleum plastics. Most months they have guest coffee roasters (ask). There are comfortable couches or if you prefer, tables with plenty of outlets for your laptop. In the summer they have tables outside.
Wormhole is better in atmosphere, coffee quality and vegan treats than Filter coffeehouse down the block. Wormhole's closest contender, in my opinion, is Metropolis Coffeehouse in Rogers Park.

Super yummy vegan desserts! - Edit
Wormhole has excellent coffee and great vegan desserts. Vegan muffins and even vegan "cream"-filled donuts. The decor is funky and cute. They even have a real DoLorean car in window with a flux capacitor (Back to the Future style).

Wormhole - Edit
Wormhole is in the middle of the main part of Wickerpark on Milwaukee just a few blocks down from the Six Points. It's a popular hipster coffee shop with a Delorean inside, Nintendo games, and other neat attributes. They had several vegan treats and it appears that 95% of them come from Fritz's Pastry (yum). We asked about a menu and they said that one is in the works, so no food (other than desserts) for the time being. If they don't serve food in the future, no worries, as the new Native Foods location in the process of being built the next block down. Wormhole's coffees are good and can be made with soy milk - this is definitely a cool little coffee shop.
