Nice place for a rest

Found this place by accident while exploring the Wudaoying hutong and was really happy to see a vegetarian restaurant in such a place.

Some of the dishes were better than others. We didn’t like the tofu dish we ordered and I was disappointed in the tea, which I expected to be a higher quality at the price we paid. The rest of the stuff was okay.

I think the biggest selling point for this place is the location and the lovely traditional interior decor.

I would consider going there again if I was in the area but it’s not a place I’ll seek out for the food.

Really good food

The owner of this place stayed open a little longer for us as we arrived late nearly closing time. The food was really good, definitely would come again.

Great location

Right next to the Lama Temple and down a modern Hutong with plenty of restaurants and shops for everyone.

Friendly staff and great food

Huge variety of vegan dishes

The menu is heaving with a huge variety of vegan dishes. The dining area is cosy and spacious.

The aubergine fritters are top notch. The broths and winter soups are perfect. They cook with a lot of mushrooms, if that's your thing.

Lovely spacious restaurant

On a fashionable alley not too far from the Lama Temple, a beautiful peaceful place. The food ranges from the really delicious (mushroom wrapped in tofu skin) to the ordinary. A little pricy.

Nice upscale vegetarian restaurant

Had lunch here yesterday after visiting the Lama temple. The restaurant has a nice interior and is quite upscale. The prices were on the higher end but there were a few cheaper noodle dishes around 35-55 RMB. We ordered two noodle dishes and they were both very tasty and large portions.

great food

I literally said "this is the best thing I have ever eaten" while taking my first bite of a shiitake mushroom dish here. We also had the mapo tofu, which was also delicious. All Chinese food. It is in the more expensive side, but worth it as the atmosphere is somewhat upscale and the food is well prepared. There is a smaller sign on the side of the building that says "vegetarian". Staff were very helpful and they sent over the staff person that spoke some English. They have pictures in the menu.
