Pretty meh ethiopian food. Slow service. The vibe seems more to go to the upstairs concert area—there was cool music coming out of there when I walked by to use the restroom.
Read moreIs it better than other Ethiopian spots in Philly? Unsure. Have had Almaz Cafe in center city which I thought was also similarly underwhelming. I really really love this Ethiopian spot back in Phoenix though, so I’ll venture to try the other 5 or so Ethiopian spots in West Philly at some point.

I love this restaurant! It has great vegan and vegetarian options. I’ve been ordering from here for a few years, and I have always been pleased by their entrees. My go-to is the vegetarian combo platter. I believe that inflation has affected them because the portions have gotten significantly smaller, and you now have to purchase each piece of injera. It’s still a nice amount, and I’ll continue to support them because this is the best Ethiopian food I’ve had in the area.

Food was delicious, so much flavor. I have been looking for an Ethiopian restaurant in the area and so glad I tried Abyssinia Ethiopian Restaurant in Philly. I ordered the veggie combo that was served on a pillowy bread. Even after reheating, it was still delicious. Will be ordering from here again.

I've been getting the vegetarian combo, and the mesir wot & shiro wot for 20 years. It is perfect everytime. So many vegan & vegetarian options. Heavy on the legumes (lentils, peas) & nice spice (with berbere seasoning).
