The best Ethiopian in NYC

Run, don’t walk, to this place. There’s an entire dedicated vegan section of the menu (common in Ethiopian restaurants) but definitely the best versions of these traditional dishes I’ve had in the city. The shiro is especially perfect!

My go to spot

This is my go-to spot in the neighborhood. How wonderful to be able to sit at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant and be eating a vegan meal that is born of the culture and naturally refined over the years and years of attention. Many vegetarian and vegan options as well as meat if you are dining out with friends who don't share your diet. lastly, the neighborhood is great with local cafes and maybe the best book shop in the neighborhood right across the street. A friendly and warm staff.

Pros: Friendly atmosphere , No compromise, naturally vegan, traditional menu
