Read moreAll the rolls were so flavorful! Loved the California rolls!! Steak skewers were great (it was especially liked by my non vegan father). The server was so sweet and we had a lovely conversation with him. He gave good suggestions on what to get.
The dessert was presented very beautifully and was so good--but very rich, so mind that if you've eaten a lot in the main course!
My favorite side was the dipping sauce the crab rangoons came with. I dipped everything in that, I was practically dreaming about it after.

Such amazing vegan sushi. This is my go-to spot before a Broadway show. You really can’t go wrong with any of the rolls but I do get the chicken yakatori skewers as an appetizer every time. And the ube cheesecake (if we’ve left room for dessert). Great cocktails and mocktails too. The service is great — we let our server know we were going to a show and they were quick and attentive.

Food was delicious and there were a lot of choices for lunch. I got the charred avocado sushi and the mighty mushroom sushi. Both were tasty but I found the black rice with the mighty mushroom a bit dry. They have lunch specials during weekdays so I found that a very good value.

I ate here multiple times on a solo trip a few years ago. Now, back in the city with my mom and sister, we ate through as much of the menu as we could in two nights--just because we wanted EVERYTHING! They loved it as much as I do, and no one had any regrets about eating at the same restaurant twice.

The creativity and flavor palette of the food are phenomenal. We tried no fewer than 12 dishes, but our absolute favorites were the creamy truffle udon, spicy jackfruit crab roll, chicken yakitori skewers, and ube cheesecake.
If you're unsure about trying this restaurant, I can't recommend it enough. I don't think it's overkill to say that the chefs here deserve an award for their talent. We can't wait to go back!

While it is pricey, my family enjoyed just about everything we tried. Favorites were the spicy crab roll, sweet tree roll and the chicken Yakitori skewers. We tried all three desserts offered and rated the chocolate Hazelnut Dome the best! It was such a nice change of pace from our usual plain cucumber rolls and Avocado rolls that other sushi restaurants have. My only complaint is that I prefer the menu not to have non vegan language like salmon, chicken, egg, etc. I had to ask what each item really was do I could decide of if I wanted to try it.

The food was good but not special. I enjoyed the sushi roll I tried – it was a combination of mango and black rice, I think – and I also had a nice bowl of sesame ramen. The ramen came with a very realistic vegan "runny egg" as well as some soy "chicken" cutlets and nicely cooked mushrooms. These elements were all great but the broth tasted a little too bitter from the tahini imo. Portion was also a bit small especially for the price. All in all a good experience but might not go again for a while considering the portion-to-price ratio.

The sushi did not wow me - Edit
We went there twice both times getting the "special" which was 24 pieces of sushi. I didn't complain either time but honestly, I was not happy. The rice was not pleasant in my mouth, especially the black rice. It's like it was day old rice so it had that kind of hard/dry texture, not like a smooth sushi rice, and if there was nori there wasn't much. I don't normally give negative reviews but I was so disappointed in my meal that I felt compelled to make this review, if nothing else than to remind myself not to return. Perhaps I should have tried a different dish, I don't know, but with sushi in the name I think there should be more attention to the texture of the rolls. One more thing, I really liked some of the flavors of the rolls, but the mustard for me really didn't belong. The service was perfect and the people were very pleasant so it wasn't a horrible experience. I just wish the food had been better. I wasn't super hungry or I'd have tried one of the entrees, but if they were bad I'd have been even more disappointed.

Read moreI tried something off the menu. It was a Charred Unagi Roll (eel, but made with avocado). It was fantastic! It had the flavor of that delicious eel sauce with the creaminess of the avocado. I also thought the prices were reasonable as well.
I also got "pork" shumai dumplings that had a delicious sause. I would have loved to find a way to get the sauce inside the dumpling or maybe have a spoon to get a spoonful with the dumplings.
To drink I got a lychee soda and that was the perfect amount of sweet and tart.
The food came out quickly, the service was friendly, prices are reasonable, everything was delicious, and the tables were large and clean.
I recommend eating here if you are in NYC and want some delicious vegan food!

Employees were incredibly kind and the entire menu is vegan! I was a solo diner here and there were several other solo diners, so I didn’t feel out of place. Food and ambiance were 10/10.

We visited this place in New York for dinner and enjoyed it. The sushi was fresh and delicious, and the restaurant itself is beautifully designed — in the evening it even has a bit of a fine dining vibe.
Read moreThey offer both a lunch and dinner menu; in the evening the selection is a bit smaller, but still very good. We tried four different sushi rolls, two of which were marked as spicy — and they truly are, so be cautious if you’re sensitive to heat.
Prices are quite normal for New York standards, making it a great spot for quality sushi in a stylish setting.
