Veganized traditional Bavian food - Edit
Visited last summer and loved the Kartoffel Knödel and vegan Käs Spätzle!😄My bf is Bavarian and enjoyed the vegan versions of his childhood cuisine. His favourite is the Knusper Schnitzel with Knödel together with a good Bavarian beer.

Hauptspeisen: bodhi Pfanderl, Tempeh Rouladen, Beyond Cheezeburger
Nachtisch: Kaiserschmarrn, Mousse au chocolat
Wir waren begeistert, dass bodhi es geschafft hat, bayerische Gerichte zu veganisieren obwohl man meinen könnte, dass vegan und bayerisch absolut gegensätzlich sind.
Alle Gerichte waren hervorragend, für mich aber ein bisschen zu schwer. Die Atmosphäre war rustikal aber leider nicht besonders gemütlich.
Das Personal wirkte etwas gestresst, obwohl an dem Abend nicht so viel los war. Vielleicht Coronavirus-bedingt, aber am Abend zuvor waren wir in einem anderen veganen Restaurant, und wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient.
We were there october 2020. The food was very good although a little heavy in my opinion. We were enthusiastic about the fact that bodhi manages to veganize traditional bavarian dishes, although one could think, bavarian and vegan are absolute opposites.
The restaurant is not quite as cozy as we would have liked. The tables and banks are not very comfortable for our taste.
The staff was a little stressed although it was quiet that evening. Maybe because of corona, but the evening before, we were in another vegan restaurant and the staff was very friendly.
Nous y étions en octobre 2020. La cuisine était très bonne, mais un peu trop lourde à mon goût.
C'est formidable que bodhi ait réussi à véganiser des plats bavarois typiques, alors qu'on pourrait penser que vegan et bavarois sont antinomiques.
Le restaurant est meublé de tables et bancs en bois pas très confortables.
Les serveuses étaient un peu stressées, alors que le restaurant n'était pas bondé. Peut-être est-ce dû au coronavirus, mais la veille, nous avons dîné dans un autre restaurant vegan de Munich et avons été très bien reçus.
Pros: Good 100 % vegan bavarian food
Cons: Not very cozy - not very friendly staff

We ordered here during Lockdown. The Schnitzel and the Ragout were really delicious. Along with that we got the Buffalo Wings, which were great, but a little to spicy for me. However that doesn’t mean a lot, since I’m not handeling spicy food very good in general. Moreover we had the Mousse au Chocolat and the Apple pie as desserts. Both tasted awesome!

Hearty vegan cuisine - Edit
We ordered appetizers plus main course, which may have been a mistake because it was hard to finish everything as the portions are pretty big. But the food was just great! We had the buffalo wings (so delicious) and chili cheeze nuggets and then the "bodhi-Pfanderl" (soy steak with red cabbage and dumplings in dark beer sauce). We will definitely be back once we are in Munich again.

Tolles Konzept und leckeres Essen - Edit
Ich gehe seit ein paar Jahren regelmäßig ins bodhi und wurde dort nie enttäuscht. Das Konzept des Restaurants ist mal was anderes im veganen Bereich und das Essen ist sehr lecker. Auch der Service ist immer top - man kann sich hier auf Freundlichkeit und Gemütlichkeit freuen! Durch und durch empfehlenswert!

Traditionell vegan - Edit
Dieses Restaurant ist eine Institution in München. Wer traditionelle bayerische/österreichische Küche und Burger sucht, ist hier eigentlich gut aufgehoben. Wir waren gestern seit langer Zeit mal wieder dort und waren etwas enttäuscht. Die Schlutzkrapfen viel zu weich, Gyros nicht knusprig und der berühmte Kaiserschmarrn hatte leider nicht mehr viel mit dem Original zu tun. Es waren mehr kompakte Kuchenstücke aus der Pfanne. Sehr schade! Vielleicht ein Ausrutscher, da scheinbar im Service momentan auch etwas Engpass herrscht. Ich hoffe es erlangt bald wieder seine alte Größe.

Read moreWe shared the Buffalo wings and Onion rings for start - YUM! Then I had the käsespätzle for dinner - doubleYUM! It was the highlight of the evening - I can definitely recommend it. For dessert we had the kaiserschmarrn and it was also tasty although not as yum as the starters and main.
This is now my go to place when friends and family come and visit me in Munich.
UPDATE:
Went here with my family and had the Pflant(?) fried soy steak. It was not a hit. Avoid it. The starter cheese platter is also not the best compared to others that I’ve had.

Our first time in München and the best vegan restaurant so far! It was zo good we ate two nights in a row to show it to a good friend. Only the second night the guy behind the bar (tattoo guy, blond) had a really bad mood and was quite rude.

I was lucky to get a seat at the bar without a reservation. If you're more than one person I definitely recommend to book ahead otherwise you won't be able to eat there. The restaurant looks like a dark pub from the inside. The atmosphere was nice, food tasted gteat and the portions were big. I especially liked that i was able to try German cuisine but veganized.

When I went vegan I thought I had to say goodbye to the Bavarian cuisine because it’s based on a lot of meat and sauce. Then I found this place and fell in love. Everything is so delicious and I can just recommend it to any former meat lover.

The only problem is that you won't be able to eat dessert after starters, burger, sides, and half a litre of beer. But there's a solution: just come back the next day and start at the desserts. I recommend Kaiserschmarrn, which is enough on its own as dinner.
