Beware of cross contamination - Edit
Cross contamination is the same problem I have with virtually every non vegan burrito place. I was told the black beans were vegan. They were hard/undercooked, which is a health hazard and unpleasant to eat. The lady convinced me to add a vegan chili which was sickly sweet, like sugar was added. Tasted nothing like a Mexican burrito. I didn’t add most of the veggies I wanted to add because I could see the cross contamination. The only reason I’m giving it two stars and not one star was because they make fresh homemade tortillas and had whole wheat (aka integral). But that was my first and last time there. Just a few steps away, I suggest Biryani Central Indian for inexpensive vegan options and amazing samosas. I submitted a request to publish it on here.

Not so many options - Edit
You can create your burrito, but the only substitute to meat are mushrooms, besides beans. You can also add a bunch of other stuff like sweet potatoes and of course guacamole so in the end it was quite full, but not so tasty as I expected

Decent - Edit
Vegan burritos are alright, but had too much pickled onion and taste sour. They don’t warm the tortilla, so it can quickly become sticky. The organisation I’m volunteering for orders them for staff often, though the food is never hot sadly. It’s fresh, but could use some seasoning. I’m not sure if they’re customisable or they always come this way, but it’s not my favourite meal.

The Serbian Chipotle - Edit
If you’re from the U.S. or ever had Chipotle, this is the Serbian and Belgrade version of it. Just as good. In the last 24 hours, I’ve had it three times already (I’m not normal).
Read morePals who serve the food are all pretty inviting and welcoming. Good vibes. Lots of options if you’re vegetarian or vegan. Good lemonade, but would be nice if it didn’t come in plastic bottles and was just in a glass when eating there. Will probably be back again soon.

Good for a quick bite - Edit
We had one burrito bowl and one burrito, just asked them to chuck everything in that was vegan. Forgot to ask for guacamole though, would’ve made it even better. Everything tasted really good and fresh, it wasn’t super filling though. Total was about 1000rsd for the two food items and one lemonade. The girl that served us rolled her eyes and huffed after she’d made us the burrito and I said we’d like a bowl as well, like it was a huge effort for her to walk 2m back to the start of the service counter haha (plus we were the only customers so not like there was a rush).

Ate there twice, both times were good. Staff knows what vegan food is. They make it right away, no need to wait.

Tasty and good value - Edit
Had the burrito, staff knew which rice and beans were vegan. A very tasty and filling burrito indeed, and for a great price 470 dinar (4 euros) for large burrito and a drink. I'll be back while I am in Belgrade.

Great vegan option, just bad there is only one - Edit
The best burrito you can get in Belgrade, very tasty and always choose guac to add to it. I prefer it spicy so I add the green salsa to it. When you ask for a vegan option (originally it is vegetarian) the stuff will be very helpful as to guide you which beans and rice are vegan. Just a pity that guac price is too high and that they have no more vegan options. Size of the burrito-sufficient for one hungry bear :)
Read morePros: Stuff is knowledgeable about the vegan option, The size of burrito is satisfying, It is on many places in city centre

Nice option - Edit
This restaurant is everywhere in Belgrade! It works like Subway restaurants but in a tortilla wrap, so as you decide what to put inside it, you can choose only vegetables and salad with sauce (they have guacamole too) and you can get you veggie burrito in a city were is really difficult to find veggie options.

Good Burrito and Lemonade - Edit
They have one vegetarian buritto which you can easily make vegan because you can choose the ingredients yourself. The Green Salsa is a little bit hot. I would definitely recommend adding guacamole even though in comparisson its a little expensive.

Ok for a fast food place - Edit
I had a burrito bowl, and it was decent, I wasn't amazed by it. It's good fast food but there are many better options in town.

good lunch spot, could have put more beans/veggies - Edit
Clearly a big spot for lunch among young business people during the week, Burrito Madre is a good solid lunch choice for a good price. They don't advertise veggie/vegan options, but they have fajita veggies, so when you order just ask for rice, beans, and the veggies. I said I just wanted everything vegan and they knew!
Read moreAlso, my SO got some mint lemonade which was amazing! They had a bunch of different flavors, that I assume rotate/change.
My only complaint is that they didn't add many beans or veggies, which is what is required to bulk up the meal, but otherwise it was pretty good.
Pros: good price , simple, easy, quick, yum lemonade
Cons: didn't add too many veggies/beans

Chose the veggie burrito option and it was fantastic. The same applies for the cucumber lemonade. The fact that you can choose the ingredients on spot brings an extra plus.

The only good Mexican in Beglrade - Edit
This is like Chipotle, if not the same.
Read moreI prefer Burrito in a bowl, but all the other options are good too.
Vegan option is great, of course with avocado added.
Rice and beans are not all vegan, so I take brown rice and black beans which are.
The place is also nice and central.
Lemonades are ok, a bit too sweet for my taste.
Pros: healthy, yummy, mexican

What a price, what food! - Edit
In the heart of the city, next to McDonalds you can find this fast food place where they make the burrito for you asking what you want inside. I just said everything that is vegan and the staff knew what to do. Also took the lemonade since it was so hyped and it was pretty good. I was really happy with my meal but if they'd like to improve it a bit, they could have for example soy or smth to subsitude meat. Anyway, s good and cheap way to fill up your stomach!

Comfort for a stranger. - Edit
When does it hurt to be Vegan? When you're hungry and everywhere around you people are enjoying 'forbidden' food. Especially so when it's outdoor seating in historic trendy places. Ease that pain with a few minute walk past this spectacle and fill yourself up with a burrito for under 3USD. 4USD if you add a real lemonade. A 'Chipotle' style place where flour tortillas are made there and you can see ingredients as they put it together. Ask for the habanero sauce to add a little heat. They were wonderful about helping a Vegan. Had one everyday my week in Belgrade. Simply walk to the end of the main Knez Mahailova street till the road meets it on your left. Walk down, left and up right at the first pedestrian underpass and it's right in front of you next to that bastion of bad health-McDonald's.

Cons: Limited vegan choice, Needs more Mexican spices
