Decent but weird vibes - Edit
Many of the reviews say how friendly everybody is but that was not our experience. The waitress, who I think might have also been an owner, was not very friendly at all and just basically took our order and then brought us food and left until it was time for the bill. We asked if we need to bring the bill up to the register and she said, you come pay and leave now. Like ok I guess but it was weird. I don't see myself being back in Chico but if I was I would probably try the other Thai place in town before I came back to this one. As far as the food it was decent but definitely not my favorite Thai that I have ever had.

We accidentally showed up shortly before closing, and they seated us and let us stay to finish, long after they had closed. They were incredibly friendly and kind. The menu is extensive, with a large vegetarian section. The menu says they can make almost anything vegetarian/vegan, just ask.
Read moreI had vegan Masaman Curry, and it was incredibly fresh and flavorful! My partner had a meat dish, but also raved about the flavor. I would eat here all the time if it was in my town.
It’s downstairs, below street level. The ambience and decor is very nice.

Read moreI got the green curry with tofu and the staff was super accommodating and knew what they were talking about when it came to vegan options. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was super cute. And I left wanting to come back.
I tried going back recently but they were closed during hours they were supposed to be open. Not sure what that's about, so I ended up going to Cocodine instead—and it was a pretty massive downgrade on all accounts compared to Chada Thai. I can comfortably say Chada Thai is my favorite Thai spot in Chico.

The food had no Thai flavor what so ever. In fact, it was bland, no spice or flavor. It's located down stairs, you wouldn't know it was there if you were passing by. The staff was friendly enough. We were sat all the way in the back and around the corner in a near empty restaurant, the two parties that were there were leaving. The restaurant is dusty and smells of urine.

Chada Thai is has average Thai food - perfectly adequate. Service was good and friendly. The downstairs location was cozy with what seemed like a low ceiling.

My Favourite - Edit
Genuine "Hole in the wall" restaraunt. My favourite is the Ginger Tofu #77. Very vegan friendly. Good place for a date too.
