Black sesame soup demonstration and a small museum explaining how the soup is traditionally made. This is a family legacy and takes place at the family's house which is next to Gieng Ba Le Bale well. Black sesame and ginger tea, black sesame and peanut crackers and grounded black sesame to taste and for purchase. You can use one of the tickets to visit for the ancient town or simply pay for the bowl of soup.

A hidden gem - Edit

We found this place via a vegan tour in Hoi An. We loved the story of the soup and how friendly the family was. We went back the next day for another bowl, it was that good. It really is a must see place to soak up some Hoi An history. It's also right next to the Bale Well.

Lovely place - Edit

The owners are a very old couple. They are retired now so their daughter helps them and she is the one welcoming the visitors. She is the sweetest lady. She is extremly friendly and tries her best to speak English with you. She will explain to you how the soup is made and will offer you a tasting. She doesn't pressure you to buy anything - contrary to other shops, attractions...

You can use one of your tickets to visit the attractions in the ancient town (5 tickets for 120 000 vnd) but actually it's cheaper to just pay for the tasting - 10 000 vnd.

I really recommend this place.
