Confusing place, but may be okay...?! - Edit
This is a stall/unit within a food court that opens in the evenings.
Read moreThere are various ingredients in dishes laid out at the front, and the guy told us to choose and select ourselves what we wanted in a bowl and then tell him which sauce we wanted with it. He also told us each bowl would be RM7. We told him we were vegan and he said everything was fine for us.
We both chose our one-bowl ingredients each and selected a sauce which we were taken away to be cooked while we sat down.
A lady then bought over four bowls, all with the same sauce but two of the bowls had noodles and extra tofu items in. She told us it would be RM38 (shouldn't 4 x RM7 = RM28?) and when we asked why there were four bowls instead of two, we couldn't understand the answer. Probably put fault for being too polite but we accepted and ate what we could.
When the lady came to collect our empty bowls, we asked again for an explanation as to why we had so much food and it was much more expensive and she told us that a bowl of noodles was RM7 and each ingredient was RM1.5 each. The guy definitely did not tell us that and we feel quite deceived.
It was tasty enough, although each bowl had a lot of fresh mint leaves in which we had to remove because it was too strong.
This was our first meal in Ipoh and we're here for five days so I hope we find other vegan places that aren't as confusing and dissappinting. We had great experiences in Kuala Lumpur!
Pros: Food was tasty, Appears to be all vegan foods, Very authentic Chinese feeling
Cons: Very confusing to know how to order, Feels like we were charged too much

Cheap tasty noodle dishes - Edit
Simple Chinese food stall selling five noodle based dishes. Dishes were all 7 MYR which is very cheap and portions were good. You can choose which mock meats/toppings you want as well as type of noodles and sauce. Food was tasty and filling. The food could very well already be vegan as we didn’t spot any eggs or egg noodles but we specified what we couldn’t eat and they indicated that that was fine
