Amazing breakfast - Edit
The chicken and waffles utilizes cauliflower instead of chicken and it was so delicious! The carrot bacon and chive creme fraiche was such an amazing addition!

Staple for Denver vegans - Edit
10 years ago, City O City knocked my socks off. Today, the menu is still largely the same, for better or worse.

Great service, great food, fun atmosphere - Edit
absolutely go here whenever in Denver! Great vibe, all the food is great and vegan by default per the menu with an option for animal egg and daily milk. The food is great but save room bc there’s a vegan bakery literally next door.

Unique and delicious - Edit
Great find in the middle of Denver. Close walk to lots and lots of things to see and do. Excellent food for vegans and vegetarians. I would even bring my meat eating friends here. I like that they open early and have an outstanding breakfast selection. Most things made in house. Best staff! Open and accepting place for all kinds of kinds. I have had breakfast here a few times. I would love to come back to try other non-breakfast items too…I am sure they are great also. Pro tip…just a few doors down from City o City is a great refill store. You can get all kinds of things like soaps and detergents and things in your own containers. No waste!!

Delish breakfast and lunch - Edit
Fully vegan restaurant with exception of access to eggs; I really enjoy being able to eat here so easily without meat and dairy. Cauliflower and waffles is divine; so is the Philly; burger; and pizza.

Such a great meal! The breakfast burrito was delicious. You can get it half and half verde sauce and gravy and I recommend that! Chicken and waffles were good too. I also liked the barbacoa fries too but that burrito was my favorite.

The food was great, the city o’ burger was probably our favorite. Lovely atmosphere and great service as well! I was a bit confused on the vegan/vegetarian options though.

The food is comforting and delicious! Everything is well-seasoned. The atmosphere and vibes are very casual and funky, with fun art on the walls. I came on a Wednesday where pizza is 25% off. No regrets! 🍕🍕🍕😍

I love it here - Edit
Recently went for happy hour with coworkers and everything was excellent. As soon as we walked in I realized it was the place I ate at years ago when I was looking for a vegan spot in Denver!
Read moreI had the fried ravioli, seitan wings, caesar salad, and brussels. Everything hit the spot.
I also love the free little library and endless pride flags scattered throughout the restaurant.

I love city o' city. The atmosphere and staff are welcoming, they have a wide variety of food choices for everyone and everything is tasty. It's a little pricey but a pro tip for new patrons: the small dishes are plenty (which means you can get a couple of things to try and be totally satisfied)

Incredible! - Edit
I wanted to go back here again on our way back through Denver. It was that good. Had the Philly cheesesteak and Cesar salad and they were amazing! My husband had a butternut soup and Cesar salad. I tasted his soup and it was excellent! The best part was dessert. I’m still dreaming of it. The vegan hostess cupcake!!! One of the best vegan desserts I’ve ever had!

Tasty Pub-ish Fare - Edit
Came on my own, and if you're not planning to sit at the bar, this does seem like a slightly awkward place to be dining alone, but the food is tasty enough to make up for it.
Read moreCity O City has more of a bar vibe to me than a restaurant vibe, which I hadn't been expecting (and perhaps contributed to the awkwardness I felt, as I have always been a tee-totaler and thus have next to no time spent in bar environments). I was seated relatively close to the bar itself, as well. It was a bit loud for mousy ol' me, but the other patrons seemed to be really enjoying it, so if that's your scene, this place will be great for you! It seemed clean, too, so no sticky bar table problems, and the waitress I interacted with was friendly and helpful.
I wanted to try the poutine and the barbacoa mushroom tacos, and decided last minute to try one of the non-alcoholic cocktails, I think it was called something like a sidecar with a number? (I don't know any real drink equivalents and kinda picked at random.) The poutine was decadent and filling, with a pretty good melty vegan cheese curd, and the mushroom tacos were smoky and light. The mocktail was interesting and not sweet (which is what I was looking for), with a pleasant citrus bitterness.
Overall definite A on the food I had, but I think I would want to come with my husband or friends if I am in the area again, because it does feel a little strange sitting alone in there.
Pros: Delicious Food, Happy Hour Specials on Food, Interesting Mocktails
Cons: Bar Vibe, Loud, Dim Lighting

Loved this place, lots of variety! - Edit
City O' City had something for every mood I was in when I was in Denver! Things are mostly vegan by default so it was nice that I didn't have to worry about specifying. It stood out to me how kind everyone was. Regardless of if I came in the morning or near closing, they were not only personable but got my food to me very quickly.
Read moreOver a few visits, I tried the fried ravioli, the tacos, both types of breakfast burrito, and a couple baked goods including the sweet potato cinnamon roll and the girl scout cookie. I had one or two coffee drinks from there, I'm not the biggest fan but I think it probably depends on who's behind the counter. They didn't have a regular cup of decaf coffee, but offered to give me an americano instead which was (obviously) watery and not ideal. Not a big deal though because there are coffee shops on every block of Denver.
My favorite by far was the on the go burritos, a perfect hot breakfast for a busy day. The Jimmy Dean one is a bit spicy, but the regular breakfast burrito was super tasty and the potatoes inside were perfect. It was not too dry or soggy, and served warm on a soft tortilla. The fried ravioli also had a great texture and a really good pesto sauce with it. I'm sure if I had more time in the city, I would've tried most things on the menu- it's that good!
Pros: Quick service, Kind staff, Amazing food
Cons: Coffee drinks were not my favorite

I’ve been here on three separate trips to Denver but my last visit was the best. I was in a large group and got to try a bunch of dishes. Standouts: the fried ravioli (more like empanadas), the brussel sprouts, and the gf cauli and waffles. 🔥

My friends and I love City’O’City! Everything I have ever ordered is top tier delicious! The chick’n and waffles?? Out of this world! The buffalo max wrap?? My favorite lunch in Denver. Also check out their happy hour!! Some of the absolute best plant based food you can find in Denver. There can be a bit of a wait during popular times, but it’s always worth it!
