Worth a trip to Denver - Edit
The food was so good-one of the best vegan/vegetarian restaurants we've been to anywhere. We especially enjoyed the seitan BBQ wings and chorizo and peppers pizza. Nice selection of craft beers as well.

My favorite downtown restaurant and still the best. We split the chickn & waffles and the ravioli. The ravioli was sooooo good. Our server recommended it and so glad she did:)

I ate here years ago so now if I’m in Denver I make it a point to come by. All 5 of my non vegan friends liked their meals too. The chikn and waffles looked the best

Great - Edit
- biscuit - 10/10
Read more- BBQ seitan - 8/10 good (should just be called bbq seitan strips probably rather than wings)
They didn't know if the sugar used animal bone char in the refinement process so I stuck with the savory. Would be good to know in the future. Also would be amazing to see the place go fully vegan someday!

Get the Chicken and Waffles - Edit
Their fried cauliflower “chicken” is genuinely the best I have ever had. It beats out any seitan, tofu, or any other meat alternative take on fried chicken I’ve had in 5 years of being vegan. The battered breading has the perfect crunch, and whatever they do to the cauliflower is downright wizardry. Perfectly moist, but not soggy at all with a great firm chew. Not to mention the seasoning was perfect and overall delicious. You will not be disappointed—the only disappointment I had with my meal was that remembering that I don’t live in Denver and can’t eat here all the time. This is vegan fried chicken perfected.

Food was good but pricing was deceptive - Edit
Food was delicious. I had the poutine and a cheese stake. Service was really kind and the decor was cute.
Read moreHowever I feel like it’s really scummy that they include a 7% BOH fee (back of house fee), on top of a tip, which is like another 20%.
Just raise your prices instead of including this hidden fee, wtf. I also didn’t like the QR code menus bc my phone sucks at opening stuff, but that’s more of a preference on my end.

They figured out the formula for the perfect chicken (cauliflower) and waffles! We split a half order and also a breakfast burrito (with half gravy and half green chili sauce (pro tip)). Good music, good folks- great breakfast!!

Great place to dine - Edit
A fun place to dine - especially when you come with vegans and vegetarians. They have great beer 🍺 on tap and we really liked the food. We had an appetizer of flatbread with dips and olives and loved it. The z’ataar spice was incredibly flavorful.
Read moreThey offer vegan and dairy mozzarella as cheese 🧀 options and they even let us do half and half on the pizza 🍕 because it was huge and we could not even finish, despite sharing it. Their home made vegan 🌱 mozzarella has a slight coconut flavor to it.

Good food, good vibes - Edit
Even though it’s a vegetarian place they can make almost anything vegan and their baked goods seemed to be vegan when we looked in their case. My partner got a lemon head cookie and said it was good. We got the City breakfast to share (vegan with tofu scramble) with the biscuit and gravy and a side of sautéed greens. The biscuit and gravy were really good! I highly recommend getting some green chili sauce as well.

Just okay - Edit
I had high expectations for this place based on reviews…I’d say I was underwhelmed. I ate here for brunch and lunch on separate days. For brunch I had the renowned “chicken and waffles” and a chai latte with oat milk . The chai latte tasted very watered down - not sure what was going on there. The “chicken” and waffles were just okay - not very flavorful . It was filling though.
Read moreFor lunch I had the bbq bowl with tofu. Again - Mac and cheese wasn’t very flavor . Could’ve used more seasoning and flavor. The bbq tofu was okay - wasn’t a big fan of the bbq sauce. I did like the kale greens that were in the bowl.
I think the place itself is pretty cool and has fast service with plenty of seating. I’d be hesitant to come back and if I did it would be for drinks and maybe try smaller bites or appetizers.
Overall, I don’t think this place lived up to its hype.

BBQ Mac bowl 🔥 - Edit
I loved that it wasn't just Mac and cheese. The cheese wasn't too heavy. Kale with mustard sauce and bbq seitán were fantastic. I was initially skeptical about the value for the price but after seeing the quality it's a great value. I am very interested to return and try other items from the menu.

Crunchy Colorado - Edit
Visiting from Chicago, and I’d say this is a very crunchy joint. The food was good, the place could have been cleaner. The website doesn’t match the decor; I was expecting a slightly higher end experience and got stickers and lots of people with colored hair. Nothing wrong with it, but took coworkers there and it wasn’t the vibe I wanted for my team. Either way, food was decent and staff was very friendly. I’d go back for the poutine and soup!
