Thank you Happy Cow for this one. Since my previous fave place in San Jose is no more, I was looking for someplace between Livermore and San Luis Obispo for a late lunch stop. As always I go to Happy Cow because who really trusts yelp.
Read moreCraft Roots was EXCELLENT. We shared the Bourbon BBQ Burger with garlic fries and the Mac-Cheese-Broccoli. Since Morgan Hill is near Gilroy (the garlic capital of the world), I expected great garlic fries. And they were! The Mac was ideal on this rainy day. Since I was driving I didn't try any of the craft beers, but they had quite the selection. We also had the Coconut Chocolate Mousse and took a GF raspberry chocolate cupcake for the road. All were great! $55 total + tip. ORDER THE GARLIC FRIES!!

Great place! Got to sit outdoors in beautiful weather. Plenty of comfortable seating. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and creative. Full price, but a quality dining experience that made it worth the money.

There were lots of tasty vegan options and reasonably priced. We sat at an outdoor table on a sunny afternoon. The service was friendly and prompt. We had a hummus platter appetizer - I loved the Lions Mane salad with blueberry-hibiscus iced tea and my non-vegan husband enjoyed the CR Burger and a Face of the Strange beer. There’s a huge beer and cocktail selection if that’s your thing.

So hard to find Vegan food and this place is a great find. So many options including vegan pizza. I opted for the Buffalo Cauliflower with very tasty sauces. I will definitely eat here again!

Pros: Vegan BBQ and Pizza. Need I say more. , Love the lion’s mane addition to the menu. , Delicious vegan comfort food.
Cons: Sensitive digestion might be aware that the sauce, are pretty spicy. Can get them on the side.

We had the garlic fries and the mushroom and sausage pizza. We were pleased with both items. I would have liked a little more sauce on the pizza and a little more spice to the sauce but overall it was a win. Can't wait to go back to try something else, mainly the Cauliflower Buffalo bites since almost every table in the place ordered them!

Had the chili cheezeburger. Bun was nice and toasty, chili was delicious! Staff was extraordinarily friendly....it's obvious they love their jobs, and that makes all the difference in customer experience. Will definitely visit whenever we're in Morgan Hill!

This is a nice place to take a date, family, or friends in route to the Gilroy Outlets.
Read moreFood: I highly recommend the winter salad; the house-dressing compliments well with the arugula. I appreciated a slice of the vegetable pizza when it was warm, but the pizza wasn't tasty when I returned home. Next time, I would try the faux sausage pizza instead. The Chili burger was a little messy, but enjoyable.
Drinks: The bar has a plethora of cocktails, drafts, and IPAs.
Bathroom: Squeaky Clean and Spacious.
Table: This is a great place to go for outdoor seating. We waited for 5 minutes for a table underneath the sun to become available. Once the previous guest departed, a busboy thoroughly cleaned our table before we sat down.
Tax: They Calculate Recommend tips amounts after adding taxes.
I look to try a better meal during my next visit, and I hope you enjoy yours!

Sitting outside on a sunny day is lovely. The side salad was good(didn’t feel like eating fries) jam lucha and tea were fine. Our mushroom burgers were nice, I couldn’t tell I was eating mushrooms since they are fried and breaded.

Went for dinner, they were sold out of buffalo cauliflower (why we went there), garlic fries, ice cream, and a plethora of other items. Great.
Read moreWaitress wasn't particularly helpful or friendly. At 8pm exactly they started sending people over every 2 minutes asking if we wanted boxes, despite how we were clearly still eating. If you're going to bring people food at like 7:50 (pizzas took forever), don't pressure them to leave the second you close.
Don't recommend for dine-in and wouldn't go back. Might be alright for take-out but who knows.

Craft Roots is an easy go to for vegan food, even my omni husband loves this place. They make ordering GF simple, some of the favorites include the mushroom and sausage pizza on the premium GF crust, GF mac and cheese, Buffalo cauliflower wings and their chili cheese fries. Food is always piping hot and delicious. Service has always been quick and super friendly. The bar is outstanding with tons of mixed cocktails and local craft beers to choose from.

The owner is extremely friendly and the family run feel is always so welcoming.
Plenty of outdoor dining space in addition to their indoor tables. The wood fire pizza oven is also fun to watch.

Seriously this place is so good. Everything I’ve tasted has been delicious and I always look forward to their rotating menu. The selection is great and a good mix of healthy - not so healthy items😉and everything is vegan! Everyone who works there is a good mood and super friendly!
