One of the best vegan spots 🤩

I ordered a burger, Mac & cheese with broccoli & some fresh tea off tap. It was worth the drive from Sunnyvale & worth the money! It’s a must try for all vegans & vegetarians... even non-veg people too! I highly recommend this place! I also love the “look” & vibe of the restaurant. Received friendly and timely service. Will return 100 more times 😂

UPDATE (9/26): I went for the second time. I got the King Trumpet Mushroom burger and omggg I recommend it more than the beyond pattie burgers. I tried a CBD infused drink this time & it was amazing. I can’t wait to keep coming back and try the whole menu.

Pros: Reallyyyy good food, Friendly staff, Drinks on tap

Cons: None at all

The best vegan food ever

Craft Roots is honestly one of the best vegan restaurants out there. The food, atmosphere, and service is exceptional. They just started their vegan pizzas and they are amazing. My boyfriend isn’t vegan but it’s honestly one of his favorite restaurants! We drive from San Jose just to get craft roots. Highly recommend this place!

Absolutely LOVE this place!

We've been here a few times and everything we have tried has been so delicious! The wait staff is outstanding and the owner is wonderful. I stake out all vegan restaurants in the Bay Area and not many offer spirits as well! Double bonus!! We're gonna keep comin' back!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Alcohol, Dessert

Cons: Limited menu, Small & cozy

Delicious vegan food!!

My husband and I went there for a late lunch. We had the barbecue burger, the buffalo cauliflower bites, and the deep fried Castroville artichoke. To drink, I had the hibiscus kombucha. Everything was delicious. The staff was very nice and attentive. The ambiance had a great vibe!!!! We will most definitely come back!!

Pros: All vegan, Great service, Delicious food and drinks!

What a breath of fresh air!

Craft Roots is hopefully the first of many plant-based venues to come in the south bay area. There is a sore lack of whole food vegan restaurants and cafes in Morgan Hill, Gilroy and Hollister. Zip.

The food here is great. I am allergic to mushrooms, and there are a lot on the menu, but the staff happily substituted them for me for more veges, avo and tempeh in the power bowl I ordered. Super nice crew!

Everything we have tried so far has been great and full of flavour. They seem to be expanding and playing with the menu fairly regularly. The cupcakes are amazing!

Our only concerns were that we couldn't make a reservation (essential when you have mobility issues) and disability parking is not close by.

Pros: It's not all typical American style cuisine.

Cons: No reservations available. Bad disabled parking.

Wonderful Food

My wife and I have fallen in love with the food and beer available at Craft Roots! As a new Vegan, I was finding very few dishes that I enjoyed, until I started dining at Craft Roots. Every meal I have eaten there has been fantastic, full of flavor, often better than the food I have eaten at non-vegan restaurants. Service is good and there is a wonderful selection of beer, wine and spirits. This restaurant gets my highest rating and my wife and I frequent the restaurant regularly! This is a must visit restaurant if you are in the

Pros: Great Food, Excellent selection of Beer, Wine and Spirits

Cons: None

Great local vegan pub

This is the first and only vegan place in Morgan Hill. The beer is really good. The menu's small, but growing.

Fantastic

Needed dinner and wanted to try something new in town. Fantastic restaurant and staff. Great menu items we had the buffalo cauliflower, beet hummus, corn flake fried mushroom sandwich, power bowl and 2 kids had the beyond burgers and for desert root beer float and cupcake. Everything was delicious I loved my sandwich I wanted more and the apps were fantastic even the kids commented that they didn’t notice it wasn’t meat. Root beer float the kids noticed it wasn’t true vanilla ice cream, had a bit of a coconut flavor but hubs and I liked it. Will be back!!!!

Pros: Nice location , Food came quick, Wait wasn’t long

Great place

Kind of limited menu but everything sounded good. I had a wrap and brownie. Would order again. The wife had buffalo cauliflower and thought they were great. Everything is vegan here.

The oasis...

I've lived around Morgan Hill for most my life, 12 years of that being vegan. a few times a month I would drive 30+ miles for food. Seriously. Monterey, Santa Cruz, or San Jose. There was nothing between that triangle of delicious snacky-wacks. Craft Roots is an oasis. Get there. Eat, drink, and find joy. Do it now. Do it right now!

Pros: Everything.

Delicious!

We stopped in for a late dinner while travelling and were really impressed! Even though the menu isn’t large, there are still great options, even for kids (Beyond Burger, fries, Mac’n’Cheese). I had the Power Bowl with a Kimchi-Miso sauce (requested extra sauce) and my husband had the King Oyster Mushroom Sandwich and we both cleaned our plates 😋.

Take All My Money!

Every single time I have come to Craft Roots I sneak a peek at the back to see if wizards work here!! My fiancé and I used to travel to Santa Cruz for vegan food of this quality and are over the moon of the variety and sheer amazingness of what they have to offer. We ALWAYS get the cauliflower bites and fries. The chicharrones are divine and their summer chopped salad is EVERYTHING with the tempeh bacon and avocado. Not to mention their bartender, Nicholas, whipping up the most bomb beverages with house made syrups (guava, earl grey, strawberry, Kiki, blackberry etc.) I would set up a cot in the parking lot and eat here forever if they allowed it

A Long Overdue Addition to the Morgan Hill Area

Craft Roots is still in soft opening mode, but I've been really pleased with everything so far. From authentic and unique craft cocktails with house made syrups to a well curated beer/kombucha/nitro tea draft board to delicious vegan food, Craft Roots is playing its cards well and I'm excited to see what the full opening will bring. It's a relief to have a place in town where we can get anything on the menu and not have to worry about consuming any factory farm animal products. The oil that they use for their fried foods (oat bran, I believe) is tasty and doesn't upset my stomach like some other heavier oils can, such as canola oil.

Pros: Nice atmosphere, Attentive and charismatic bartenders, Lots of unique house made sauces and syrups

Cons: The interior can fill up quickly, can be loud

Wouldn't know...

Was excited to hear about this place, checked their website and said they were open on Sundays. Got some friends and went, nope, not open on Sundays. At least not the Sunday we went there. Haven't been back.

They're still in soft opening so hours of operation have been shifting while they turn the restaurant into a well oiled machine. Give 'em another chance. It's worth it, I promise.

Obsessed

When I heard about this place I was BEYOND excited! I went twice during the first week and I keep going back. This place makes me so happy. I feel so at home with the food and beer. We’ve needed a place like this for a while. It’s so nice to have a somewhere I can go to and I don’t have to make a meal out of sides or completely change something on the menu and confuse people!!! The food is amazing and the employees are super friendly, good job guys!

10/10

This long-awaited gem has finally settled into Morgan Hill's growing downtown. No disappointments so far - other than wanting them to be open 24/7! 😄The food is nothing short of perfect! Soft opening still underway, with menu expansion coming soon. So basically we've been getting a delicious taste of what's to come! The ambiance is great and the owners have done a fabulous job creating a comfortable, homey place with a touch of class. I have read many local reviews, and have to agree that ALL of the 100% plant-based menu options have been fantastic, as well as the excellent craft beers and cocktails. Wish there was a seat with my name on it - the restaurant has been crowded but in a good way. The owner, J, makes a point to come out and talk to guests. Great vibes at Craft Roots!!

Pros: 100% plant-based, Friendly wait staff, AMAZING FOOD
