Best vegan macarons! - Edit
The staff was very nice and friendly! The baked goods were delicious and they had fun coffee and tea specials. We had iced lavender lattes, pistachio shortbread, banana macarons, and chocolate banana cake.

Iced coffee - Edit
We came here to get iced coffees and a vegan pastry. Since it was in the afternoon the pastry selection was pretty low but we did try a shortcake cookie and a macaroon. We both liked the shortcake cookies the best. Nothing wrong with the macaroon just our preference.

They also own The Coronado restaurant.
Pros: All vegan items., Friendly staff.
Cons: No comfortable seating inside., Outside seating looks out at the parking lot., The decor is for younger customers.

Great little coffee shop - Edit
Really cool vibe. The coffee is good and I love their house blend non dairy milk. They always have good bakery items (honestly best vegan ones I've had but I don't typically eat that type of stuff). The cookies and gallettes are my favorite. Not a ton of seating. I usually get mine to go on my way to work anyway.

Love the baked goods - Edit
I really like the coffee at Dark Hall, but their vegan baked goods really set them apart. The scones, crumb cake, palmiers, and chocolate chip cookies are some of my favs. I really wish they would make croissants because I know they would be bomb, and I would go HAM on that.

Their cake is awesome! - Edit
I had three different slices of cake while I was visiting in Phoenix and they were all moist and delicious. My boyfriend got the raspberry crumble bar and liked it also (he is not vegan/vegetarian).

Buy the pastries! - Edit
I came for coffee and left with coffee and five pastries. Everything was fantastic but the shortbread cookie and olive oil cake were out of this world!

The best cookie in my life & amazing chai! - Edit
This establishment is 100% vegan. Don't tell the omnis because the pastries & vegan milks would fool anyone. The chai was perfectly seasoned. The Blackout cookie was perhaps the best I've ever had. The BlackBerry crumble was no disappointment either. This isn't hyperbole. Their pastries & drinks are that good. Do yourself a favor: just go grab a pastry & a drink from Dark Hall.

Loved our teas and the helpful staff. We had a chai latte and the cac-tea. Wasn’t expecting the pastries! The blueberry lemon galette was fantastic. I wish I had gone another time during our trip.

Cinnamon rolls! - Edit
I so love cinnamon rolls, but they are just too labor-intensive to make at home on a regular basis. Dark Hall has homemade cinnamon rolls every weekend after 10am, and they are wonderful! We tried several of the rotating varieties and loved them all, but the bourbon caramel and cookies-n-creme rolls were especially good.
Read moreWe were in Phoenix for the month of January and came here every weekend just for the rolls, but the coffee is good, too. The cookies are also some of the best I've had, and I look forward to trying their cake the next time I'm in town.

In Phoenix for the week and luckily Black Hall was around the corner. Great coffee, great selection of all vegan sweets and super friendly staff. The back wall of flower wallpaper is really rad. I would recommend this spot to anyone in the area.

Vegan treat oasis in the sea of strip malls and subdivisions that is Phoenix - Edit
Vegan treats that aren’t trying to “health it up”. Dark Hall knows you want a cookie, not a dry flax seed stuffed biscuit made of sand that’s masquerading as something you once loved.

The ultimate vegan coffee house - Edit
This place is a dream come true. It’s everything you want it to be. A charming, well lit, friendly neighborhood coffee house. BUT IT’S VEGAN. That pastry you always want at Starbucks? You can get it here, only it tastes better because it’s made fresh, and is far more complex and creative! And of course you’re supporting local business, so that’s rad too. Definitely cruise by this spot. I had an oat milk latte, and honestly, tried every single pastry or cookie they had available that day. Everything was vegan, and I was driving all the way back to Northern California, so I thought, “why not?!”. It was all delicious. Very thankful this place exists.

Nitro cold brew and homemade nut milk - Edit
We went in for coffee on a suggestion from a local and got the nitro cold brew. Tried the house made nut milk blend. The coffee was super smooth and the milk was unique. Wish we would have gotten to try a pastry or cinnamon bun. They looked awesome.
