One Time And Dun

It is a universally observed truth that, when on holiday, normal eating and drinking rules do not apply. Fully embracing this notion, doughnuts for breakfast was an obvious decision.
While it might be a little trite to head to this multinational chain over one of the numerous (probably better) local businesses, these bakes represent something a of forbidden fruit to me. In my line of work, scores of these particular products are wafted in front of me on a near-weekly basis. The problem being that, where I am in the world, the plant-based range has yet to be launched, so all I can do is look on longingly. Hence why, when passing this kiosk, I had at least get one/three.
There were certainly more flavours than I had been to led believe there would be, eight in total, so after careful consideration, I opted for the Boston kreme, the cookies & kreme, and - in a nod to the locale - the Bavarian kreme.
Were any of them particularly special? Not really. Did they satisfy a massive itch? Absolutely. Sated now for at least a couple years (or as long as it takes for the memory of this visit to fade into the ether), I don’t feel compelled to return anytime soon.
