Amazing Food! - Edit
Lots of vegan options and amazing flavours! The Chai Feast was amazing. You can get multiple small dishes and order more when you get the Chai Feast. The give out complementary Soy Chai Tea and it’s wonderful.

So much fun! - Edit
I went here last night with my Omni boyfriend for a date night. There was live music and a great atmosphere when we arrived and we had great service throughout the evening. I had the vegetarian (vegan) all you can eat option and all of the dishes I tried were so yum! My favorites were the Dahl soup, Channa masala and the potato dish. Highly recommend for a fun night out!

Good, but expensive, food - Edit
Lots of vegetarian options, however it is rather expensive and they automatically add $2 to the bill for the musicians, whether or not you enjoyed their music.

I belong here - Edit
I discovered East is East a couple of years ago and I just belong here. The food is flavourful and authentic, in addition to the traditional ambiance of the space. The staff is extremely friendly and readily answer any questions you may have about the menu or ingredients. The vegan chocolate mousse is ABSOLUTELY DIVINE! I love the silk route feast because it gives you the chance to try everything on the menu to see which items you like. If it's your first time here, I highly recommend doing the feast, even though it is a little pricey, it is totally worth it! It's unlimited so you can keep ordering your favourite items after you've tried everything, so you will not leave hungry. I always leave with a massive food baby when I dine at East is East!

Experience the East - Edit
Had lunch today at EiE's Broadway location; always up for some Persion / Afghan food! We got the Boulani (an absolute must-have, trust me), and we tried the Double Roti Wrap - Ghandi's Breakfast (a whipped spinach mushroom mix) and The Gypsy (baked eggplant with butternut squash and mango). The food was very flavourful, except for the side dish of dahl that came with the Roti meal. I don't know if the flavours were so strong from everything else, that perhaps the Dahl's was muted, but it was quite tasteless. That aside, though, the boulani more than made up for it, and the rotis were really good to try as well. The seating and ambiance is really something else, decorated with flowy curtains, salt lamp candle holders, pillows and wooden benches draped with blankets. The small tent room right at back is the place to be!

Good food, some of the flavours were a bit off and the price was way too high for the quality/portions but I did really enjoy my dish

Yummy food - Edit
When ever we visit Vancouver we eat at east is east. Being vegan and gluten free they are very good. They have a rice wrap and the fillings are vegan and yummy.
