Good place - Edit
Rich portions and good variety, most options are vegetarian and maybe not so light, but tasty. Lovely place.

good food for low prices in a not too touristic little restaurant - Edit
It is not easy to find a nice and authentic restaurant in the very touristic town of Puerto de la cruz. The El Limon is one of that kind. When we were there around 75 % of the guests were Spanish - from families to business people. The atmosphere was nice and easy, the stuff were very friendly and the food was good and definitely not expensive!

Good food, poor service - Edit
Yesterday we ate at El limon. The address on happy cow is incorrect, but we found it anyway.

Some vegan options. The roasted vegetables were rather warmed up. Taste could have been better.

Good - Edit
It's a very pleasant eatery with a friendly stuff and a very good atmosphere. You'll find some vegan choices. Unfortunately the portions are not too big. Prices are moderate.

Big dishes and great menu - Edit
I have been there now like two times, great place with a lot of costumers in the evenings. :)
Read moreI ate burger, salad, soup (that was not the best option), smoothie and drank some beer, smoothie was greatt, burger simple and salad too. But the variety is great!
I wont recommend papas con mojos, cause these sauces are not that nice here than most of places - too oil´i and not so nice saucy :D
Service is nice, the girl is really working hard, also she works alone for like 12-15 tables, that is crazy! But she is nice and welcoming :D
PS: Say if you are vegan and need to have everything vegan, they will help you nicely :D
Thank you soo much :)
Pros: big dishes
Cons: sometimes taste is too simple, burgers are simple

disappointing - Edit
We decided to go as we were staying just around the corner.
Read moreThe waitress was helpful when I mentioned that I was vegan.
We all ordered smoothies which were delicious. We also ordered nachos with guacamole and hummus, quesadillas, chips and vegan burgers.
The chips had vegan mayonnaise which was nice... But the burgers also had the same mayonnaise. And the guacamole also seemed to have the same mayonnaise... It was just a bit too much mayonnaise!!!
My son was really hungry and usually eats everything!!! However he hated the burger and couldn't eat it.... It was not good,
It was so disappointing because the restaurant is so very quaint and is situated in the heart of El Puerto.
I hope they can sort out the menu because it has so much potential to be amazing.
Pros: understanding staff, great smoothies
Cons: too much mayonnaise , need to serve ketchup with the chips and burgers

Cozy with wifi - Edit
Difficult to find out what is vegan (even if you know Spanish), but there are at least some vegan options on the menu. As is commonplace on the Canary Islands, the staff don't understand English very well. There are sockets by some tables for battery charging and the wifi works well for basic stuff. Discrete background music on low volume.

Cosy place - Edit
Smoothies were very delicious, thou foods that we tried were average. Small choice for vegans- since many dishes include dairy or eggs. Waiters were very friendly.

Alright but not great - Edit
El Limon is a cosy restaurant in a quiet street of Puerto de la Cruz. We had the menu of the day, which was ok but nothing special. Portions were rather small and I was still hungry after the 3-plates menu.

Ein supergemütlicher Laden... - Edit
Daumen hoch!

Perfect for a light meal - Edit
Good atmosphere, great juices and salads. Do not be very pretentious when coming. Do not expect very elaborated dishes as well. Considering that most probably you are going to be on holidays in Tenerife, a light meal is really appreciated.

Nice location, very much fast food - Edit
Nice little spot, they do also have a table or two outside, but they're opposite so not that obvious to spot. Do ask what's vegan - it's not clearly labelled or obvious (the tofu burger has blue cheese sauce for instance). Their fresh juices are lovely. They also do a set menu every day (not on the menu though), of main course, small juice, salad and cake. Not all their staff speak English. Stir fry, rice snd salads were nice. And some great pressed juices.

Delicious fast food - Edit
Nice place in a beautiful old building in the city centre. The staff was really nice and could tell us which dishes were vegan and which were not.
Read moreWe had burgers, sandwiches and fries. The salad for starter was ok (for the price maybe a bit uninspired), the vegan pastry and cappuccino both were tasty.
They have menus in various languages, but since we speak Spanish we don't know about their language skills.
Pros: cosy interior, easy getting a table at 9.30pm
Cons: Fries not homemade

Excellent - Edit
Really nice place to eat. Staff were very friendly and capable. They spoke good English and were happy and able to point out what was vegan and what was not. Fairly easy to find too.

Excellent and Reasonably priced - Edit
We stayed in Puerto de la Cruz for two weeks and ate here twice for lunch. The food was excellent and the service quick and friendly. It was great to find somewhere offering something different from all the other restaurants a lot of which offered exactly the same vegetarian options - pizza, pasta and a couple of tapas dishes.
Read moreEl Limon offered a range of simple, tasty vegetarian and vegan food. Their homemade burgers were really tasty, as was their seitan dish and their tofu. They also do fresh juice combinations and none of it was "worthy". Highly recommended.

Good for veg* but no organic food - Edit
Good mix of fast food style but all vegetarian in a nice atmosphere located in a very nice building in the center of the city. They do not however serve any organic food. "This is a vegetarian/vegan restaurant" was the answer we received from the very polite staff when we asked if their food is organic. This was not enough for us. But if their food had been organic we would probably have loved it. They have been around for 20 years but should evolve and go the organic way.

Not bad but not great either - Edit
Nice rustic cafe, and the service was pleasant enough. The fresh juice was very nice, although everything else we had was pretty average. The Quorn dishes were not available the day we visited, so we both had the vegetable kebab, which came accompanied by salad and a veggie sausage. The kebab and salad were ok but unremarkable, although the sausage was quite nice. We each finished with a piece of carrot cake, which was satisfactory, and to be fair, the portions were quite generous and reasonably priced. Overall verdict - Wouldn't rush to go back, but it's not one to be avoided either.

Great vegetarian and vegan food - Edit
I spend 1 week in Teneriffa in february and visited Puerto de la Cruz, where I found El Limon. The service is super friendly (although their English knowledge is very limited) and informed me about vegan dishes. I got the dish of the day, which was a yummy soup with carrots an a main dish composed of seitan with mushrooms, salad with sesame and wheat with vegetables. The food was excellent and not expensive. I would abolutely recommand the restaurant!
