Beautiful cafe - Edit
My experience with lunch at Familiars on a Saturday was outstanding. I had the hummus sandwhich on fresh sourdough, and was delighted to see it came piled with veggies, including fresh and crisp sprouts! The interior of the cafe is spotless, and includes the nice weather the outdoor seating options are quite picturesque.

Vegan Protein! - Edit
Lots of protein with JUST egg, vegan sausage, & tempeh. My favorite place to bring friends. Many options for outdoor seating with seats up by the train tracks. Their plant-based milks aren’t sweetened which I LOVE bc then you get to choose your sweetness level. Their matchas are perfecttt & also unsweetened. Their bagels are 10/10.

Really impressed with this spot. First off, their tea selection is wondrous and they have plenty of different latte options if you’d like as well. I didn’t eat here but was pleased to see that they had multiple breakfast dishes that included vegan sausage or vegan cheese. Never seen this at a coffee shop before. Definitely worth checking out!

There's definitely a surcharge for non-dairy milk - Edit
I always stop at Familiars for coffee or tea when I'm in the area. Love the ambience, the decor and, of course, the drinks. The espresso drinks are always delicious and there's a range of creative non-coffee lattes too. What I don't love is how overpriced it is: you'd think you're in Manhattan paying almost 9 bucks for an oat milk tea latte. And yes, they do charge extra 75 cents for non-dairy milks.

This spot has a great atmosphere, it feels bigger inside than it looks from outside. Nice woodwork and vibe with bar style seating facing windows and tables. Outdoor seating is added in the warmer months. Vegan food is decent and there are lots of good coffee drinks.

I got the vegan BLT which is made with tempeh bacon and lots of fresh mixed greens. The bread was a really high quality while wheat and all the veggies were really fresh. Perfect quick bite! I also got a turmeric latte which was super gingery and very delicious!

I had an absolutely delicious vegan tempeh "BLT" on an everything bagel. You can customize everything on their menu. The peach tea was yummmmy.

I didn’t get to go inside, because they only have outdoor seating at the moment. They do have a lot of tables though, including an area behind the restaurant. Order came out quickly.

I haven’t tried the vegan food items yet, but the coffee is great. They never burn the non-dairy milk and espresso is always spot on! Plus it’s a cute place and lots of outdoor seating.
