Good but nothing special - Edit
This place is good if you’re in Leeds and need a quick bite to eat that’s vegan, but the quality isn’t great and the overall food isn’t anything special. It doesn’t make you go “wow I’d come back here” which is a shame as I really wanted it to be that good. The loaded fries and milkshake were better than the burger for me!

Vegan burgers and hot dogs - Edit
Fully vegan burger and hot dog stall. Does what it says on the tin! We've tried various things on the menu, including a kimchi hotdog yesterday, they do mix it up with specials. Hits the spot when you want a burger!

Fully vegan, very tasty - Edit
Enjoyed my burger from here and love that it's fully vegan. The wait times were very long (glad to see they're busy but don't expect "fast" food during lunch rush) and the prices quite steep for a market stall but I would still definitely recommend.

Okay - Edit
I had a chicken burger and although it tasted good I’m pretty sure it was just a VFC burger so was a bit disappointed as had expected it to be home made

Just great junk food! - Edit
American diner style vegan comfort food that actually tastes great - it’s cooked to order so the wait time can be a little while but so worth it!
Read moreWe’ve been back a few times and tried to try as many of the menu items as possible - we always overeat here because it’s just so yummy! I love everything with dill, even just a plain old dill pickle… the American style pancakes were super fluffy and filling, the variety of fries to choose from have all tasted great so far - I’ve tried maybe 3-4 toppings. The Mac ‘n’ cheese has been the best I’ve had and the birthday cake ‘shake was well, like eating birthday cake!
The staff are super friendly and helpful, answering any questions and you can see the whole place from every angle, it’s clean and seems a little nicer than some other market vendors. They have some good meal deals and it’s overall good value for money!
The only improvements I can think of are more about the location - being in the market, the opening hours are quite limited, if you’re just passing through Leeds at the beginning or end of the day you’ll likely miss their hours. Generally, I think 10am is a little late for breakfast and 5pm is a little early for dinner so if you’re in town for lunch or weekend brunch, definitely check out Fat Annie’s!
There is plenty of seating, shared with other market food vendors but the biggest challenge is finding a clean table.
Overall, this is in a great location, centrally located, by the bus station and the food really is fresh and tasty!
Pros: Fresh & delicious American diner style food, Centrally located, Great choice & value for money
Cons: Limited open hours, Seating area often dirty

Excellent plant-based fast food - Edit
I paid a visit to Fat Annie's, in the food hall at Leeds City Market, on Friday, and as always, it was great. The menu of plant-based American-style fast food has plenty of variety, and they have recently started doing occasional off-menu specials via their social media feeds. I had a tasty, juicy burger, accompanied by some nicely-seasoned fries.
Read moreThere is plenty of seating in the food court in the market, though it does get quite busy at lunchtimes. If you are eating in, Fat Annie's will give you a buzzer to take to your table, which will beep to notify you when your food is ready to collect.
Pros: Great plant-based menu, Reasonably priced, Friendly service

Amazing food!! - Edit
Came here after seeing photos someone posted - so was very excited to give it a go!
Read moreThe menu was huge, we wanted to try it all but decided on a burger, hot dog, fries and the Mac and cheese.
First of all, the photo was so aesthetic and looked great for photos. The portions were huge especially for the price, we got it all including a drink for £21!
The hotdog texture was the best vegan hotdog texture I’ve had - the toppings worked really well with it, I love the sauce omggg. I’d suggest getting the one topped with pickle and crispy onions.
The burger was amazing too, we got a chickn one which had facon and cheeze. The patty had a great taste and texture!
Finally omg, the Mac and cheese!! I’ve been waiting for a good vegan Mac and cheese and tried different places but this is the one. So creamy, the sauce coated the pasta and it was so delicious. Such a slay
Pros: Huge vegan menu, Good prices and deals , Delicious food

Incredible! - Edit
We came here for breakfast today and it was amazing! We had a breakfast sandwich and waffles chicken.
Read moreThe breakfast sandwich was really nice. It’s a sausage patty, tofu slice and cheese. I added an extra hash brown.
The waffles and chicken was so good too. Would really recommend!
The seating is inside but it’s a big open space so wrap up it’s a little bit cold. It’s situated in Kirkgate market but you’re best going through at the back entrance as it’s right at the bottom. If you walk through the market you’ll go past a few butchers and fish mongers if that bothers you.
Pros: Good value for money, Loads of options , All vegan

Best vegan hotdog, ever. - Edit
The hotdogs here are amazing. Probably the best I’ve ever had anywhere. I had the Texas Jack, which was topped with Texan jackfruit chilli, cheese and nacho crunch, it was unbelievable. The chips are also incredible, which makes the whole meal experience flawless.

Amazing food, amazing value - Edit
If you’re looking for affordable vegan junk food, Fat Annie’s is the place. It’s mainly burgers and hot dogs and pretty much everything on the menu is vegan with the exception of the Mac and cheese. Everything is really tasty and they do a range of vegan milkshakes too. They are about to go fully vegan which is fantastic! Fat Annie’s is a business I am proud to support.
