Traditional cheap buffet - Edit
Had lunch at this self service buffet. The food isn’t labelled but we were informed that all but one dish was vegan (as well as the kefir etc). You pay be weight and given it was cash only it was quite a risk as we had limited cash and seemingly nowhere close to take any out. We managed to just make it with two plates of food for under €10 for them both. It feels very home cooked/rustic both in terms of food and the decor which feels a bit like someone’s house. The food was nice and good value

Tasty home cooked food - Edit
Went here to get a taste of Latvian home cooked food, and it didn't disappoint! All food except auksta soup was vegan and there was a lot to choose from. Food was also quite cheap, only minus is that the place is cash only. I definitely recommend this place!

Self serve buffet - Edit
Soy and tofu, whole fresh vegetable dishes all hand made and delicious. A spectacular choice of 15 or so dishes, and sold by the 100g. The pricing is crazy low. I would gladly pay double the €5 a plate (with drink) to ensure this place stays open. Worth every penney. It’s an asset to the community!

Cons: Hidden toilet. , Could be a bit more clean?

An easy-going lunch bistro - Edit
Peripheral location and inconvenient opening times, unless you’re on this side of the river and looking for lunch. Then it’s the best place. The selection of food was wonderful — rice, mashed vegetables, different types of fresh and cooked salads, seeds, a sauce with soy chunks and another one with beans and soy mince. There’s coffee and juice for drinks. The lady behind the counter was modest, but polite, and the prices are nice — 85 cents for 100 gram of food. NB! Bring cash!

Vegan Latvian bistro experience - Edit
Having lived most of my life in Latvia I can say that this is what a typical lunch cafe bistro looks like. Buffet style, incredibly tasty and filling. Value wise the best veg place in Latvia. The only thing which was not vegan was kefir.

Amazing - Edit
It's not in the center, but cool and cosy. You can eat vegan meat and buy on the go. A lot of vegetable foods that are amazingly tasty. Love it!!

Very cheap buffet - Edit
For 2euro (little plate) or 3,50euro (big plate), you can get a nice variety of dishes on a buffet (chili sin carne with soya, etc. and salads).
