Serves meat, vegan options available. Bistro housed in the same building as a flower shop. Offers simple Finnish style bistro food and natural wines. Menu changes seasonally (check its facebook), and some of the vegetarian dishes will be able to be adapted for vegans. Example of food include tofuskagen salad, root vegetable patties, pasta with pesto or vegetables, and parsnip fries. Open Mon-Sun 11:00-02:00.

Great atmosphere but the food is only okay - Edit
I have visited Harju 8 several times. I really like the atmosphere and vibe at the restaurant but food has been a bit disappointing every time. This time we had fries which were tasty but super salty and already cold when they were served. I wanted to have a banana split which could be made vegan but this time they did not have ingredients to make it. They didn’t have any other vegan dessert option than just lemon sorbet which I didn’t try. Customer service is always friendly but I don’t recommend to go Haju 8 if you are a hungry vegan and want to eat great food. For vegetarians they have many options.

A really special place, sometimes live music outdoors, and always very nice vibes inside too. All the dishes I’ve tried so far have been delicious, plenty to choose from for vegans too.

Traditional with a twist - Edit
The pasta with fermented green chili is alone a reason to come back. Tickles all the right places. Also a chance to try the traditional "Skagen" salat in a vegan version. Lovely and lively atmosphere.

Tasty seasonal food - Edit
The food from the Summer menu was really nice. I had a great tofu salad and shared parsnip fries, which were especially tasty. The restaurant was very popular and doesn't take reservations, so you might have to wait a little. With just two people, we managed to get a table straight away.

Lots of vegan options and the place had a lovely vibe. We had the pesto pasta, caviar potatoes and parsnip fries. We followed that with a banana split. Would definitely say this is one of my favourite places I’ve visited in Finland.

Many great vegan options. With pesto pasta or tofu salad you can't go wrong. Just remember to ask vegan version. But in summer nice terrace outside with seasonal summer flavors. Tofu skagen is great option. Place is beautiful inside too. Usually fully booked so be ready to wait a little. It's worth it.

Great food, great atmosphere - Edit
Somehow this restaurant makes me feel like I'm abroad traveling and I love that! Can recommend both the soup lunch (to my knowledge there's always a vegan option) as well as the a la carte menu. Last summer I had the tofu skågen salad and I don't remember ever having such a delicious salad in a restaurant!

A bistro type that has a nice bubbling atmosphere. There was a few vegan options, I think three mains and one dessert(the menu was small) and I tasted two of the dishes whihh both tasted great and weren't at all expensive. Definitely would go again. Only minus was that they weren't very aware of Corona distances and the place got pretty crowded.
