Always stop here

We always stop here on our trips to Mendocino! Great selection and friendly staff

The only "Everything" store available

This store has prices that are unbelievable - especially when it come to the organic produce. It's kind of an old school safeway with some stuff for rich Hippies. lots of Hostess, Snickers, Fritos, and Pork Rinds with s few organic treats sprinkled in. Fairly good selection of vegan "meats" and "cheese" with a great view and smell of the huge butcher section while you browse. Probably 10% of the store is Vegan and another 20% veg.
Staff is often disgruntled and surly - and the management seems to have an ongoing conflict with the multitude of transients that hang out in front.
This is an International Grocers store - which tells you the bulk of their items are just what they carru at Walmart.

Pros: Only big store in town, some Vegan items

Cons: Expensive, Vegan section at end of Butchers section, rude or clueless staff and bitter management

Convenient

A standard small grocery. Small salad and olive bar. Non-organic veggies. Just picked up my water here and some rice crakers. This is not the only thing in Mendocino. There is a lovely small veg co-op a few blocks away called Corners of the Mouth.

Great full service grocery store

Harvest has it all, from organic foods, beer, vegan items, to a green general store with cooking items, bath and beauty. Friendly staff, you'll find everything you need to make a picnic basket for a canoe trip on the big river
