Vegan and Organic

We are fans of their chili **** $8.00), I like their Kale chips ****$8.00), and their Chick'n Salad sub ****($13.00). Service is friendly and the decor is basic, but clean looking. I do not like how they will charge you a credit card fee- even if you are paying with a debit card. You have to tell them that it is a cash transaction to have the surcharge removed.

Pros: Chick'n salad, Acai bowls, kale chips

Cons: charges a fee for plastic-even if using debit.

Great lunch grab and go

We wanted a quick vegan lunch between visits to two museums in the Cultural District blocks away. We opted for sandwiches, which is one of the featured offerings of this restaurant. The sandwiches we chose were tasty and filling. There were many salad options, both make to order and in the refrigerated section to pick to accompany other choices. We heartily recommend this option if you are in the area.

Pros: Great options for sandwiches, soup and pizza, convenient to Cultural District and 7th Avenue are, all vegan, gluten free deli slices

Cons: Nothing I can think of

Good for a refreshing drink

Juice Junkies is essentially a healthy fast food joint. It's a juice bar in which most of the juices are pre-juiced, so they aren't all made-to-order fresh, but it seems they're reasonably fresh. An exception is the smoothies, which are made to order. They also sell about a dozen or so pre-made snacks, mostly raw.

I had the sun dried tomato hummus, which was tasty, though the serving size is small, so it's basically a $7 appetizer. My smoothie was refreshing on a hot day, but had the consistency of a slurpee, which isn't really my speed (i prefer smoothies made from fresh, unfrozen produce and served at room-temperature, which is better for the body than cold).

Service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was cheerful, with good music at a comfortable volume.

Unfortunately, one negative consequence of the fast-food formula is that all of their items (drinks and snacks) are packaged in plastic. There's a sign suggesting that customers need not worry because they use biodegradable plastics, but the fact is that those starch-based plastics don't actually biodegrade in real life unless they come into prolonged contact with the elements, which never happens in landfills, so one must throw them in a compost pile to assure that they actually do biodegrade. Bio-plastics also require just as much energy to produce as petro-plastics, so in truth one can't regard these plastics as harmless. They are OK as a semi-eco-friendly option for take-away, but i wish Juice Junkies would offer non-packaged foods for those who chose to eat there instead of taking out.

Bottom line: If you're looking for a quick juice, smoothie, and/or snack, then Juice Junkies is certainly one of the better options in town, but for food there are fresher and more eco-friendly vegan options.

Wide variety of juices

Great for a light lunch. Lots of take-away options. We took our time, sat down and ate delicious wraps and fueled up on green juices. Staff was incredibly friendly and kind. An overall great experience.

Quick meal in a neat area

Chili was a bit salty, but overall food was delicious. I would recommend the Meetloof Wrap.

Pretty small

I not only enjoyed my breakfast juice and power balls I got the nachos and carrot ginger soup for lunch and pre-bought my dinner there too! Everything is so fresh and tasty nom nom nom!!!

Reminder great plant based place!

I love juice junkie and take it for granted. Not only do they have great smoothies and juice! But they seem to be expanding their food items. Today had the Greek wrap, it was absolutely delicious! Their soups are flavorful and healthy. Must try their nachos. Don’t overlook this cozy little place thinking only juice, but visit it for breakfast, lunch or an early dinner.

don't waste your time

Everything we had was bland. Minus their vegan cashew cheese. All of it is overpriced as well.

Excellent Juice bar!!

I really love this place... they have super healthy and tasty juices & Smoothies, as well as raw and vegan food options. Everything is always fresh, and the staff and owner(s) are the best!

love this place! unique and delicious grab n go vegan bites that never disappoint. house made organic cold pressed juices are the real deal. love the green and citrus juices. you can also chill out with a superfood smoothie. very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
