A vegetarian restaurant with many vegan options. Also has a tango dancing saloon. Open Tue-Thu 8:00pm-4:00am, Fri-Sat 8:00pm-5:00am, Sun 8:00pm-2:00am.
Closed Mon.
The place is very interesting/grungy and is listed as a place of historical/cultural interest. However, the food is terrible. Half of the items in the menu is not available. The tempayaki we ordered was way too salty, and the spaghetti dish was overcooked (too soft) and the sauce was more like milk consistency than cream. The beer was served too warm. Overall, we wanted to like a tango place that served vegetarian food out of principles, but I think if this is their normal quality, they're giving vegetarian food a bad reputation to all those meat-loving Argentinians. If you're a good tango dancer (i.e. not beginner), you should go on Tuesdays, and if not, maybe Friday. That's when the milonga is 'good'. If you're a beginner, you can go for the classes on any days, but it's probably intimidating to dance at the milonga on Tue/Fri, although it seems to be more empty on other days and before 12am, so you could dance then. Note that the floor is not really even, so it's also not really great to dance there. Go there more to check out the place and the atmosphere, not for the food or tango.
