It's a nice touch that the menu is clearly marked and avaliable outside the door. The vegan options are as many and as interesting as the vegetarian ones. I had the Schokolade and the Gebrannte Mandel - Ahornsirup. They were both great! Rich chocolate and sweet caramel almond ice-cream. Worth a visit!

Basically the same as Luicella's at Lange Reihe. The shop gets very busy in the evenings when it's good weather. I think overall the counter here is smaller, so less flavours available. About half are vegan usually.
Read moreYou can check which flavours are available on a given day usually but by the evening some flavours might have run out and have been replaced by others. Still, it's a plus because the selection varies day by day, and on some days the vegan choices are not that interesting. Which is especially disappointing when the non vegan options are a lot more unique.

I was looking for an ice cream shop that didn’t only serve fruity flavors or sorbets. Luicella’s a really good choice if you want some “real” vegan ice cream, for instance chocolate or other non-fruit flavors. Still, they also do have dairy/non-vegan options for your vegetarian friends.

The standard for vegan ice cream in Hamburg is high, but this place is without a doubt the best of them! Very inventive flavours (not only sorbets!) and the absolute most divine coconut ice cream I have ever tasted. Make sure to order a vegan wafer cone!
