A lovely place to stay with lovely hosts

This is a ryokan run out of a temple. The ryokan is run by the priest's wife. She is lovely. The rooms are Japanese style with very comfortable futon and a chair. They look out on a beautiful garden.

This is not a temple stay so they don't provide shoujin ryori. She provides simple but good home cooking. Please be careful to specify what you can and can't eat as the ryokan is not vegan or vegetarian. E.g. egg, milk, cheese, butter, yogurt.

However they went out of their way to help me including driving me to the next village to send my suitcase to Narita and helping me arrange the next place to stay. They were very kind.

Some English is spoken especially around food and accommodation.

There is also a small dog and some cats that live there.

Pros: Very kind and helpful, A beautiful place to stay

Cons: Make sure you specify your food requirements
